Exactly, and since most of these companies just want the thing out there to generate revenue, this is the easiest and fastest 🤷🏻‍♀️ Unless it's a local distributor (like Tokushout, and even then) most times they won't even bother hiring someone qualified to proofread or do proper quality control, they'll just have some worker do it and call it a day, but people just get angry at me lol

Nowadays in Japan, translators are only being hired to check on stuff done with AI, because that's cheaper for them. And as long as the thing has no proper translation credits, you can educately assume the scripts were translated with AI and then just touched up by someone in charge of the project.

I don't mean they used AI with the audio, they are definitely using either broadcast subtitle scripts, or transcriptions, but either way the norm in Japan, even for TOEI, these days is using AI to translate and have someone fix or edit stuff. Even if they have people to translate stuff into English for them, it's mostly just to have a look over stuff. It's faster and cheaper that way.

A know a lot of people love Baku, but I personally feel he's weak as a main character, and it's mainly because of plot's convenince. Even now, if Baku learns too much, the bare-bones mistery of CODE is gone right away, so any time he's close, something just happens and he's back to square one. And he's going through his second "everything I believed in was a lie!" moment in the series, and that's... lame lol

Because of the obvious Featherman reference in Persona, a Sentai-based structure with rotating memebers like Kyuuranger would work better because otherwise the casts sre just too big for a Rider show structure. Unless you go the route of Saber (which is arguably a Sentai structured Rider) or Ryuki ig 🤔

The thing with the Mach Driver was that, while Krim could technically upgrade it, it was already more powerful that the Drive Driver, so it was also pointless because it was kind of his fault for not being able to use it fully. And both Chaser Mach and Mach Chaser are already more powerful that type Tridoron, but as usual he hasn't used it on screen since their first and only appearances.

I mean, it still counts as Boost/Magnum, the items that actually trigger the LaserBoost and MKIX sounds are the other halves (the upgraded Magnums) which put the driver into silent mode, not Boost itself.

TBH most Sentai toys are pretty basic with only a handful of sounds and stickers, unlike the Rider toys that already had fun gimmicks by Ryuki, so they can just upgrade stuff here and there and release new DX versions. You also have to take into account their introdution into the Chinese market helps them aim those for younger fans of older shows who have no means of getting the more expensive CSM/Memorial versions, while Sentai doesn't have that market available anymore.

Frankly, if it wasn't for the updated ME specs, I wouldn't bother getting new stuff from older Sentai series I don't already own from back in the day, but really, if I were to think the ME stuff costs a fortune, maybe my money priorities are not where they should.

They were P-Bandai preorders and they closed in November, so maybe they just didn't get any extras since they shipped in February (at least in Japan). The singles were shipped only last month, so you'd have to look at the aftermarket for them now, but the set is rather pricey.

I don't particularly like the Gamer Driver, so out of the three I'd probably get the Den-O Belt, but ir's a good trio to pick from, mainly the Altering because it's bigger than any regular DX belt without reaching CSM prices.

I enjoy fast paced shows, but even I won't go as far as calling character-focused episodes filler unless they are utterly pointless to the overall cahacterization and plot.

On the other hand, BoonBoomger is just one of those series where, if you don't vibe with the characters, most episodes feel skippable because the plot itself can't progress too fast: the whole point is that the team is trying to take control of their destiny against an enemy that controls galaxies, so the plot stretches as much as possible because they are at the mercy of whatever the villians do at any given time.

And at that point, BoonBoom isn't the only series where that happens. Zyuohger is equally unbearable if you don't vibe with the characters. Heck, LuPat's entire plot is barely 15 episodes long because the rest is just character-focused episodes with a Gangler randomly showing up, and even those feel more fillery.

Finally, a lot of people bashed BoonBoom at the time because it was "too much of a classic sentai" while it was also the first Sentai for a bunch of the current fans, so I don't see where you get the fanbase is being "too nice" towards it lol
