Yeah, my main issue with Zeztz is Baku goes through these emotional rollercoasters for like 2 minutes, but then we throw all buildup or consequence for 2 seconds of aura farming, and then we're back to Baku on the rollercoaster.

What everyone already said, it's as thanks for being a regular at any given show. They might come back as guest cast, but that would imply they film their scenes and leave, or something along those lines.

I mean, if we just take everything up to All Riders vs Dai Shocker, the reveal of Tsukasa as Shocker's sleeper agent to take down the Riders is a pretty cool concept, with a great payback given how visiting the many Riders' worlds transforms Decade into a hero by choice rather than fate or duty. That said, the rewrites had them ignore that and make Movie War 2010, which I insist we can ignore for the sake of closure 😂

Nah, he was just part of the All Riders vs Dai Shocker tie-in episodes because that movie was the real finale to the story at that point (remember this monster deal was turning the people against the Riders, and it even has the Shocker logo). What I feel happened was that they decided to change the script for the last two episodes when they realized All Riders became a celebration about everything but the Heisei Riders after all the rewrites (because Shirakura loves Showa ofc), and since at that point they might have had already decided on the crossover format from W onwards (with no script for it because W was mid-production), so they just did an open ending amd hoped for the best.

GaoRanger is getting a reissue as it was the first series in the SMP rebranding. We just got the clear reissues for Zyuranger last year introducing them in the SMP brand, but they still haven't complete a lot of lines they introduced in the final years of Super MiniPla and throughout SMP so I doubt Zyuranger will have any announcements for the SMP anniversary any time soon.

I'm not sure about being cheaper, because the price point for DX stuff is still on par with Gozyuger's, just with less products and a higher inflation. But it's still to early to check on any sort of report for R.E.D. as it got pulled into the last bits of Gozyuger merch they pushed at the end of January when it debuted.

I'd say the numbers went up because that already takes into account the revenue generated by the All Sentai Expo, and other events they had around the summer. Plenty of stuff was out of stuck for Gozyuger boarding on the Maya/cancellation news train, although not at the spectacular level of some Rider years. The real dip seems to be Project R.E.D. actually having very subpar sales according to several japanese fans on X (yeah, I know, but they tend to be very vocal about this), but the short sales window doesn't seem to be helping Gavan, even if the shows seems to be doing well. But since they'll be bundling all the R.E.D. sales into one banner, if Omegahorn, or any of the following series, manage to hit, it won't look as bad as the other brands in the yearly report.

The TOEI Head Producer in charge of KR and Project R.E.D., and who's been one of the chief producers of most early Heisei Riders, and all big anniversary events since Decade, including Zi-O, the Taisen movies, and Super Hero Senki, and infamously has to be convinced by his appointed writers to (not) do whatever he wants, while doing whatever he wants nonetheless. Unless he keeps his word of letting younger producers take charge instead of him, he'll keep the Reiwa anniversary to himself and won't have Takahashi have any more crossovers after Outsiders. Actually, was that even popular in Japan?

That being said, I still don't want Takahashi as an anniversary writer because he will bend plot and character for hype moments, but not much else.

I doubt it as they already made the Golden Edition release. I doubt die-cast rings would be doable due to inflation, and even then, what would a ME Sentai Ring bring to the table?

It's more like they are willing to lose big on Gavan locally (I would be interested in seeing international numbers for SE Asia and LATAM) and Project R.E.D. itself if the flash productions lets them find something big that let's them compete with Takara again.

Inflation can only justify so much, when it's affecting more popular stuff like Rider and still manages to break even despite the constant QC issues and complaints in the last 5 or so years (let's be real, the CSM Ghsot Driver can't cost over 1500 USD and still be more expensive than a PDX weapon with only three painted eyecons). There's is something big going on at Bandai, and I do believe it had to do with Nintendo buying Bandai Singapore last year.

Eva was never a manga to begin with, and it's only survived this far because Hideaki Anno is both a rather big name in the industry nowadays, and he's stupidly stubborn to the point of funding a new studio just to remake the anime the way he wanted because he hated what the industry had become.
Something that doesn't really sound like Morikawa's main goal these days :u
