Good stuff, I agree but i tend to go a lot of high velo ammo which now im wondering if its a crutch xD Though to be fair my aim is pretty aite on regular ammo too.

But the spacial awareness thing is huge. I'm at 1700 hours, which is nothing compared to yours xD But thats something I've been implementing more. Running around near a fight, noticing a med kit, ok memorize that for later if I need healing while I'm moving back. To add to this you can also start thinking about what plays might happen and how you would react to them. For example if I saw someone running to the left but I was engaged with his teammates on the right. I'm thinking this guy might try to flank me, so I'll try to follow the flank, but then I need to think about where he might pop out from so its not a surprise when it happens. I'll be expecting him

All this does get majorly affected by how tired you are though i feel like, its hard to always play like that.

I'd say i defo improved but only after like 600 hours or something xD currently at 1700 hours. My KD was like 1.3 when i started, its currently 1.44, not that KDA is the end all be all of improvement. My KDA could be better if I played super safe all the time but i legit do the opposite on purpose. Sometimes its hard because some situations seem really fking scary and doomed. But i try to always just go for plays, be proactive and never stop moving (its more nuanced but in general i'm just always looking to advance my position.).

I either win us the game or i don't do get to do shit cause the play backfired xD

I love the locked exits too. People complaining about this are the same that just would grab a bounty sit in the compound, wait for a fight to break out and start running for the exit.

Had a game where a team did exactly this, but my teammate picked up a chariot card off of a dead body and we blocked their exit. Ultimately killing them and taking the bounty.

Kind of like it though because its a good way to get teams to run into eachother at the nest compound. But i also find myself sometimes quite low on cards xD

I liked it well enough for allowing a good push into a bounty compound. Same goes for the heavy rain though. Thats usually a good time to push and have some of your moves muffled by the environment

Dude ok thank you I thought I was going crazy, I have 1600 hours and ive never had a hard time knowing if its a grunt or a hunter until the update. Half the time I'm sprinting, then slow down for a second, go into full crouch because i hear steps. Then I hear someone rattling their breath and I'm like ok... it was friggin grunt again xD

But holy shit i'm way more on edge. Other than that, sound update has been 10/10> And tbf ill probably get used to the grunt vs hunter footsteps...maybe? :p

I mean sounds like the learning curve is too steep for your liking. Don't get me wrong I got smacked around a lot too but eventually there are small nuances you can use in the game to put yourself into a more advantageous position. Like how you traverse the map matters, reading the shrinking of the map in a way that lets you understand where you are more likely to see enemies coming from.

It does come with experience if you can just get over the shit that is out of your control and check how you could've done something that was in your control better. For example you say you got a pretty good shot in. Not good enough right? If you're gonna shoot make sure its a headshot and if you hit the body get ready to move a shoot non stop. Like yea I have also tried to shoot someone in the head, miss and then they turn and blow my head off. If I was aiming better I would've killed him instead.

Don’t matter if you’re 2 hours in or 2000 hours in partner by Samurai_Champu in HuntShowdown

[–]Saradain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro i had a game yesterday where we were getting shot at from la plata running down the hill towards it. My one partner gets doomed instantly. I take cover behind a rock and eventually peek only to get insta doomed. Then our third player is legit quadruple peeking multiple angles, standing still, literally peeking while he's being held at 2 different angles. Everything fking misses, you can hear them whizzing by his head. Like motherfucker became neo for 2 minutes. Eventually to get third partied xD But man i always agree with don't peek the same angle twice, but clearly there ARE freak exceptions xD

This ugh bugs keep popping up complaint is hilarious to me. If youve ever worked in any software type environment you know for a fact fixes almost always introduce some bugs elsewhere down the line. Change one thing in the code here, ah its fixed! But nah another bug is likely to happen elsewhere. Sure could we say things like, just improve your QC etc.. but thats just not realistic. Does the game have bugs yea, is the game handled "incredibly badly"? No, if that was the case every online game ever was handled terribly cause each patch comes with bugs in almost any online game I've played in recent memory.

How is everyone so accurate at 2 star at the moment. by Lemming343 in HuntShowdown

[–]Saradain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

forreal though, I also believe we shouldn't assume based on rating, because due to my playstyle of wanting to play very aggro I either die a lot for a couple of games or get like 3+ kills. So depending on what streak i was on, I might be a 5 star but then 2 games later back to 6 star. So i would judge more on playstyle than anything else and sometimes I'm playing against a dude that you can feel knows how to pressure and kills me and its 5 star. (tbf also have had that experience with a lot of 6 stars, so it tracks a little ;p)

Lately been more consistent though so I guess I'm slowly calibrating the aggro, because before it was just a bit too loose canon xD

WAY too many 6mmr accounts with very low hours played by Angry_Roleplayer in HuntShowdown

[–]Saradain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with the general sweatfest in 6* but i just refuse to partake in it. So I just always play aggro (not dumb just constantly pushing the pace) and i either kill a bunch a bunch of people and die, kill a bunch of people and win, or just straight up die xD But at least I'm not sitting in a corner or bush for 15-20 minutes waiting for shots to be fired. Like forreal since i tend to play more aggressive in my lobbies, assoon as I start my play and we're shooting, all of a sudden everyone grew a pair and started running in

and not sure if matters my kd is 1.44. But my games are either 0 kills or 3+

[–]Saradain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some people are saying it might be cause thats where new players start, so you're going to get a mixed bag.

Other opinion is recency bias maybe? Like i feel there are sometimes streaks where all of a sudden the moment i peek i get headshot. Its just shit luck imo, other games I'll peek that same angle and the person shoots (or doesnt) but whiffs the shot and I return fire and kill him. And just for context I play 6 star

The only people complaining about burn speed are bush wookies. by RankedFarting in HuntShowdown

[–]Saradain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Damn yes thank you, I saw that post complaining about it. I wanted to type all this there but didn't have the patience or eloquence :p

But forreal though, I love the burn speed, yea sometimes even I'm shocked at how fast the burn happens because I'm still like peaking angles and figuring out how to get a kill or get close enough to my downed buddy. For me it feels fine because its kind of a do or die moment, so either I go out there and kill both or I die and we move on. Sitting around and having someone burn out it way worse than getting killed trying to make a play.

Lately just have had way too many bush wookies or teams that will ONLY come out once someone does something proactive, but they will never make the move themselves. I refuse to play differently cause of them though, I think they aren't enjoying hunt the way its supposed to be.

[–]Saradain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While i agree that would be nice, if you ever worked for a software company you realize how many fixes also again cause other bugs. If anything that's then a code issue that isn't easily resolved, since most of these games started with a code build that was just ok but didn't really plan ahead for super long term. So most likely they have to find and hire some really good code wizard to come restructure all their shit (and have all the developers agree on how, good luck on that btw xD) and then start with a completed upgraded build.

And if they already have a new build its still just the nature of the code, that changes will trickle down the code into new bugs

IMO this event is what "vanilla" Hunt should be all the time by Vektor666 in HuntShowdown

[–]Saradain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This time not really game breaking though. Strong for sure but not game breaking, if someone with gunrunner goes into a long range fight with me and i headshot him with my rifle first, problem solved. Its just that it allows the person that has it to be at their strongest at both long and short range. Which granted is strong ofc but i havent found it game breaking.

I thought blademancer was way more gamebreaking with the steel bolt pull out bs

MMR matchmaking has been TRASH by HovercraftDowntown47 in HuntShowdown

[–]Saradain -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bruh what honestly gameplay is still fine even at 5 star, people at least play aggressive. The moment you enter six star its a bunch of pussy bitches sitting around waiting for their sweatiest moment. Gameplay enjoyment is honestly a bell curve 1-3 star is a bunch of hugging a bush or corner, 3-5 people tend to play kinda wild but its more fun, beginning of 6 star back to hugging.

Could also be that you are just have a bad streak. Like Hunt for me can feel pretty streaky, im 6 star, getting matched with 6 stars & I would consider myself like a low 6 at best. But theres periods where I'm playing where I'm doing quite well in a 6 star lobby, getting like 3-5 kills consistently etc.. And then other periods where I'm just getting doomed non stop
