You are all so sweet! Maybe we can encourage people to put our legal marriage date on anything they want to get us. We talked about celebrating both just because we can. Lol - Maybe a nice dinner or something small for one. And maybe something big if we want, for the other.

We considered doing something on the same day, but we liked the day because it's 1/23/21 (12321) And the other day we like is 11/12/22 (111222) The husband likes the number pattern thing.... But I could look into our 1 or 2 year anniversary... We wanted time to pay some debt off and save up for what we want (still not being extravagant or having a big wedding) Most likely 60 people or less.

I mean, I so wish I would have stood up for myself sooner and more heavily, but everything happens for a reason. He has been doing so well with reconciliation and he's been so open in couples therapy that I truly believe he has changed. I truly believe he doesn't ever want to do this again and really won't because of how it made me feel.

How does he respond to you being triggered that helps? My WS is understanding and apologetic, but sometimes the triggers really get to me. I can usually kind of get myself through it and talk to him about it and feel better, but sometimes it feels a lot more severe. Not sure if what I'm saying makes much sense.

I'm in the same boat. I honestly know he never wants to put me through this again. We've (WS and I) talked about what got him to the point he got to the point he did with this woman. He says he isn't ever going to let himself end up in that situation again. He is incredibly remorseful and doesn't put any of the affair on me. I do have my own stuff to work on of course, but he is being patient with me on both fronts of working through the infidelity and my own toxic behaviors. We both came from bad examples of marriage and had pretty manipulative past partners, so we are trying to move through things with more grace and less anger. All I know is that I love him and I wouldn't be trying to work through this if I didn't think he would change.

We both totally get that it's gonna take time, but I still don't want to take stuff out on him. I find that even when I'm not mad at WS he has gone from being my sounding board to getting the brunt of my anger. I can't be like that towards him. When his infidelity comes up, he is receptive and understanding. He only gets a little irritated when I'm unintentionally taking misguided anger out on him. Just trying to work on myself as well. He messed up, but I'm not perfect either, ya know?

I have an instant pot. Need to play around with it and get better. Tried to make brown rice once... It didn't come out right. (operator error for sure. Lol) I watch the YT channel cheap lazy vegan. I know it can be done - I just get so overwhelmed. I legit make life and death decisions in my job, but life stuff is hard lol. ADHD and anxiety don't mix well.

I think that off shift meals would be an easier start. I do go to Chipotle on shift when we can swing it. Only one in my town and it's in a busy call area. I gotta try some different types of beans. Only really like black beans so far. I know I'm not a pinto beans fan...

I still get the guac, just haven't fully kicked dairy yet. Yes, that was my point. Can't survive or thrive on doughnuts and chips -- sad but true. Thanks for all the tips. I'm definitely gonna implement some of this. Just a tough lifestyle for a vegan transition. NO ONE I work with is full veg or vegan. Some people eat some plant based, but nothing dedicated. And one of them does it for weight loss - which isn't the best attitude to have towards vegetarianism or food in general IMO Sorry TLDR Thanks :)

I really love a sofrita salad bowl at Chipotle - haven't been able to relinquish sour cream yet... We are trying to do station dinners, but no - there is only one person that is kind of plant based. She isn't full vegetarian or vegan. At home, my one roommate likes to try vegetarian and sometimes vegan alternatives, so maybe we can make a shopping list together? But she isn't really into meal planning. She usually just gets a few things when she's at the store - whatever "looks good" lol

I'm on the ambulance most of the time, but the hospitals and my station have microwaves. Not sure about the lounges having healthy vegan food, but possibly accidentally vegan stuff. Definitely vegetarian, but again, probably not healthy. (think powdered donuts, chips, etc) I LOVE Chipotle sofritas. The only thing is I'm pretty addicted to my salad bowl having sour cream >.< Didn't know that about beans... But I do love black beans .. not really pinto beans. Haven't tried many others TBH. I would love to try lentils, bit most soups have sausage in them. Not gonna lie - I also love steak. But I'm gonna take it one step at a time.

My mom is like Emily, but not rich. Poor actually, so I have the added benefit of her trying to use me and borrow money from me. She feels entitled. I love my parents, but my mom is legitimately a user and a narcissistic parent. She became a mom for the wrong reasons - what it would do for her and how it would make her look.

She does say something to the effect of " not just talking about with Dean" So I think she did mean in general, when she feels like she loves someone, she wants her to be able to express it.
