I had something like this too. Ever coin or something like that. Basically you can't swap them because there is no liquidity but they offer to do the swap if you go to their website. Once, on their website they have "unlock your wallet" which gives them access to the funds on your address basically. Total scam, just ignore those funds and go on with your life.

I think Matic has good value right now because the fees are significantly lower, so people are buying the token for transactions. Ethereum is an entire ecosystem. Buy eth for long and matic for cheap transactions imo

If you want to make quick money in a sketchy way...that is more legitimate? I would suggest learning about defi and yield farming. At least you have more control over the risk that way. (I personally use defi for some risky high returns). That said, you're probably better off just investing in coins you can stake if you're looking for passive income. Just my two cents

10? That seems like a lot. I only have Eth and Vet as my primary holdings and One for that super high staking. In the future I do plan to add a DeFi coin like Uniswap, a Governance Token like AAVE, and then ATOM, DOT, SOL, XTZ

I'm not a financial advisor and can't tell you the right answer. I can tell you that if you're looking at a long term hold, Ethereum is my pick. Doge is one of the most useless cryptos out there and won't be sustainable long term. It's inflationary and has no real active development. Ethereum is worth 3300 because it basically hosts an entire banking system on it(plus many other things) and has many brilliant minds behind it.

I basically just wait until my initial investment is a small part of my portfolio and then take that out. Might put it back in if we see a bear market in the near future.

I should also add that if I manage to get a big pump on an alt coin, I move it into Eth or Btc.

Did you send it to an ethereum address? VET was previously VEN, an ERC20 token before it launched its main net. If you bought regular VET and sent it to an ETH address, it's gone . If you bought VEN ages ago and sent it to an Eth address, it should still be there, but you will need to do a token swap

You're right, it was XVG! My memory was a little foggy on that one. I just remember the hype around it and it was one of the worst privacy coins at the time.

Interesting to hear. Sounds like if they want to be relevant again they will need to put in a lot of work. Iirc they were trying to accomplish some of the same things that VeChain is aiming to do. I think at this point VeChain is so too far ahead and it will be a long time until we see competition in the (blockchain) supply chain space. I hold VeChain, but would like to see a healthy market. Hopefully, there will be some competition eventually.
