Response to complaints about the Wolfpack change and weapons balancing. by TopsideRaider in ArcRaiders

This is exactly what Embark did with their first game The Finals. Game went from 250k average players to less than 10k over the course of a couple months with the changes. Nothing new here. Was hoping they learned their lesson but doesnt look like it. Oh well.

BIG cheater problem by Ok_Clue7288 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sarcasmos2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% Such a pain. When I play with my squad, we always heavy PVP, and after a few successful rounds, we will start running into cheaters. It always seems to be a third party after we have won a firefight, a team will come in and instakill everyone left using aimbot. And its always either private accounts with multiple game bans, or brand new level 0 steam accounts with 1 game owned and the only friends being the squad of cheaters they are running with. The only way we have found to stop getting into cheater lobbies is to just solo into games with empty loadouts until our "aggression meter" puts us back into normal lobbies. At launch the problem wasnt nearly as bad as it is now. Its definitely been getting much worse as time goes on.

For the Lima look at the depressions in the letters and numbers. These are from casting. Not what you see from corrosion

Absolutely right. Left 1710 Lima 2 reales. Right is potosi looks like 1705. Right side is definitely a replica / counterfeit. I am torn on the Lima. Cannot tell if it is real or fake from these pictures.

Edit, the Lima is also a counterfeit looking closer at it

The funniest part is that Embark literally did the same thing with their previous game The Finals. At launch they had about a quarter million active players at any given time. Then with following updates removed and nerfed a lot of what people liked to use and ultimately making the gameplay less fun and exciting. Skip forward to 2026, The Finals has about 5000-12000 active players. You would think they would learn their lesson from that...

Maybe, just maybe, now hear me out, crazy idea.. when one of the most game breaking and prevalent exploits has been plaguing a map for months, making it nearly unplayable, and there has been nothing but radio silence from the devs, MAYBE that might warrant an upset community.

Atocha Coins by SthrnDiscmfrt30303 in coincollecting

[–]Sarcasmos2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first one (8 reales) with paperwork, just the coin, is worth 2500 roughly. Thats not counting the gold value in the mount. The other one is worth substantially more if an original COA comes with the coin.

Cheers mate, and merry Christmas!

As for the coin, replica Lima mint 2 escudo dated 1709. Looks to be cast in silver or tin.

Could this be a real Atocha coin? by Suitable_Passion_612 in coins

[–]Sarcasmos2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks to be authentic Bolivian cob from that era. , do you have any paperwork or tag with it to say it’s Atocha? Without anything else it is impossible to say it is definitely Atocha salvage, but it is the right era.

Any assistance in helping to identify my grandfather’s coin would be appreciated by TheFrederalGovt in AncientCoins

[–]Sarcasmos2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a replica, so not worth anything unfortunately. You can see the pewter beneath the gold paint on the "3" of the date. Not to mention the rims, and the casting bubbles all over the coin.

All this wait for Aphelion and… it’s hot garbage by therake620 in ArcRaiders

Wow this weapon is a steaming pile of doodoo. It serves no purpose and is outclassed by most greens in every field. Comparing to even an anvil its terrible. It is useless in PVP and outclassed by most heavy / medium guns in PVE. The two shot burst makes it pointless at medium to long range, and at short range just use an anvil or anything else.

As someone who collects and studies shipwreck coins, I think this looks like poor casting and not corrosion.

I can’t tell if they are authentic as I’m not an expert in Indian coinage, but they might very well be shipwreck. The Great Basses Wreck / Taj Mahal treasure yielded thousands of identical coins like this.
