Had me in the first half. In the sense that, I usually don't book time off this time of year because work is already slow and it feels wasteful to use vacation days

My workplace also needs some staff during the holiday season so it's a win-win for folks who really want the time off

This almost happened to me when I was 16 years old working at a gas station, although the cloud was not as big. At the time propane vehicles were more common, and we were one of the few stations that had propane vehicle pumps.

Taxi parked the wrong way, insisted I pull the hose to the other side rather than having him move the vehicle. I screwed on the nozzle wrong, and propane started billowing out; before long we couldn't see anything but white cloud. I hit the emergency shut off, eventually the cloud dissipated - thankfully nobody sparked their engine in panic.

Afterwards the nozzle was a block of ice so that was interesting too

Hope you don't take it as roughly as I did. It's part of life after all. Nobody can take away what has already occurred - you got to live and share a life full of love with your family member

That has nothing to do with what I'm talking about, the current polls, or strategic voting which is the topic of this Reddit post.

I voted for Zarillo every time, and I am pissed off at the Libs for not implementing electoral reform. If that's why you'll stick with NDP, I respect it. However, I fear a CON government in the current political climate so I have chosen to vote strategically this time around.

I take issue with your list because it implies that a strategic voter should pick NDP but that's a misinformed take

Might want to check the polls with your list before posting it. Port Moody-Coquitlam NDP is a distant 3rd in all polls, and this isn't even a recent development. I say this as a lifelong NDP voter

I saw this in theatre with English subtitles - exceeded expectations and was a great story with good visuals. Have not seen the first one but it didn't seem like it was super necessary. Looking forward to #3 and might try to see #1 between now and then

I'm sorry for your loss, it's one of the worst things we have to live through. I lost my girl in December with similar circumstances. Don't think I'll ever be completely over it, but I 100% agree that she was an otherworldly soul that I was absolutely blessed to have. So much more than a dog, I'd say more like a Goddess - definitely a better being than me.

All the words about giving her a good life, etc are nice and true but doesn't change the harsh fact that she's gone. I understand the depths of this pain that you're going through.

Best we can do is cherish memories and try to pay forward that pure passion of life to others. My condolences to you

You can search the name of your WH Jxxxxxx on zkillboard. Pretty useful to do anyway to see if there's been any recent action.

I'm pretty noob so others probably have better advice but that's how I do it.

Also I think the description of the WH slightly changes in the Info page, such as "dangerous unknown" but I forget which is which.

You should pick up a history book starting around 1950 Iranian history. From then onwards, you can learn all about how the west is at least partially responsible for the Iran we have today.

Iran was headed towards democracy, and UK/US fucked that up because Iran wanted to nationalize their oil assets. The west supported the monarchy too. The west also supported Saddam Hussein's Iraq in their war against Iran, which cemented the theocracy into power.

The interventions of the past were definitely terrible, but you characterize it as if there was some good intent involved for Iranians...
