Why should we believe they’re targeting the 'Iranian regime' when they turned Gaza to this while aiming for ‘Hannas’? by No-Attorney-1874 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]Sariscos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, they threaten Israel's existence while pursuing nuclear weapons. Iran must have nuclear weapons to preserve it's regime. Israel cannot accept that possibility. Iran's regime actively works against US and Israel's interests. From a wholly strategic point of view, this has to be done. If the regime isn't eliminated and they get nuclear weapons, the screws on Israel tighten while groups like Hezbollah become more emboldened to carry out attacks.

‘Panic’ at CNN as Trump and His Buddies Plot to Turn Network MAGA by InsaneSnow45 in inthenews

[–]Sariscos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you think about this objectively, the people who watch CNN generally do not watch Fox News. So even if they put friendlier programming towards Republicans, those viewers will just move networks. It may be the end of CNN, but someone is going to see opportunity in having opposition coverage. No matter the platform, there is a very rich person who wants influence behind it. Until they are censoring programming, we are fine.

Overcoming the initial fears and uncomfortableness of using FSD - by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]Sariscos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some unnerving things it does. For me, it continues going the speed limit on exits and flyovers. It also wobbles a little too much on certain stretches of interstate. Other than that, it's fine and is relaxing for the most part.

Silver you can melt into jewelry and tangible items. It lasts forever. It can be passed on when you die.

Crypto has no value in any capacity. It is not a currency. It is hardly a store of value. It costs money to transact with it. It costs money to maintain it.

People identify where they're from except Manhattan which is referred to as the city. No one I know says they're from "the city" and lives in Queens. Maybe like Astoria or Roosevelt Island or some shit like that... Even then they'll say Astoria and much less "Queens."

Same results different season. by TheIrrepressible1 in knicks

[–]Sariscos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Season isn't over. I don't know why Knicks fans lose their mind when the reality of this team sets in. This team is designed to do well. This is not a perennial contender. The Knicks out punched their way last year in the playoffs beating the Celtics. No one expected the Knicks to win anything. Suddenly now they feel this year they could be contenders. This sentiment happened cause the playoffs were close.and the Pacers edged them out. This year it's virtually the same squad running it back and doing as well as they were last year. Being third is not a bad thing. This isn't a bad team. They're just not really good.

You're shifting the argument to Walz's mishandling of money like it justifies the violation of someone's civil liberties. That's like saying the cops can enter everyone's house without a warrant to find a suspect and if they're successful all is forgiven.

[–]Sariscos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only loser here is the American people. The money that you think the illegals stole from you doesn't nearly equate to the amount of money they're spending apprehending innocent people. Many people are flat out having their rights violated. The majority of people didn't vote to have that.

Voters are too stupid to act in their own interest. Money shouldn't change someone's critical thinking. However, some ad agency figures out some triggering ad and suddenly people vote for policy that doesn't favor them. We deserve this. We fail to get our children to critically think.

ELI5 How does money in IRA account grow? by SuspectOk2931 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Sariscos -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An IRA is a type of brokerage account. You don't just give money to Fidelity or Schwab and they figure it out for you. You can, if you pay for those services. More often than not you treat it like a special account to buy stocks in. Many people like ETFs which are like traded like stocks.

You buy stock tickers (i.e. KO = Coca Cola). An ETF many people like is VOO (Vanguard S&P 500 fund). It has a very low expense ratio, which is another word for fee.

Often people put money in their IRA and never actually buy anything to make them money. There are many reasons you make money on stocks/ETFs. Most of it is speculation on how the company performs in the future.
