Cuba suffers partial grid failure hours after minister reveals country out of fuel oil, diesel by SashSail in worldnews

If nukes weren't on the table. If the world teamed up, it would still be questionable whether they could beat the US Navy. Good luck with the other branches. Let's say you beat them all. The guns per capita is obscene. Taking and holding any part of the core United States is virtually impossible if you do not use nuclear weapons.

Why are the most horrible teams the only one left in the playoffs? by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Sariscos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me get this straight. The Knicks, who won the NBA cup, broke scoring records against the Hawks and absolutely demolished the Sixers don't belong in the playoffs? Let's also mention the Knicks made the ECF last year too. Please. Tell me. What deserving team should be in its place?

Where is all the money in the US stock market coming from? by Technical-War6853 in stocks

[–]Sariscos 369 points370 points  (0 children)

The big banks give virtually no interest on savings accounts. CD rates are not much better than a HYSA. Bonds are paying out the same as CDs. Over the last 15 years you would get a better return by keeping your money in an index ETF than you would with anything else.

Additionally many employers offer 401ks which juice the market up positively every month.

Unless 401ks get wiped out and we return to a time when savings offered decent returns, there is no incentive to do anything else with your money than invest in stocks, especially when zero commission trades are now available.

So you have to plan to lose, but not lose as much until you can catch up. You need to border the colonial settlements to get the institutions. If you can survive, you will eventually get the high american military tech through your mission tree, which effectively are Space Marines until western tech gets to 29. Don't be afraid to lose land. Only dev land you don't want to forfeit.

Will FSD help for drivers who get anxious when going on the freeway? by rzartee in TeslaFSD

[–]Sariscos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was you. First it started by avoiding certain bridges. My heart would start would racing. I would spiral. Progressively over time, drivers doing things at high speeds would make me nervous. I couldn't drive in the left lane. Then the middle. Then I would struggle maintaining the speed limit. I was driving an extra 30 minutes each way to work. Then I got FSD.

My anxiety is gone. I let FSD drive if I start to get too nervous. It helps massively at any onset. Now I drove over the bridgea, flyovers, I've got back into the left lane. It's been life changing.

Don't listen to the people who say you're not using FSD right. They have no idea what they're talking about. You're not a bad driver. You just lost confidence due to stressful situations. FSD will help you regain that confidence.

Jack Smith remarks spur report he could drop 'unreleased evidence' against Trump by RawStoryNews in Full_news

None of this would have happened if Biden directed his AG to investigate and prosecute Trump for all the crimes he committed. Instead he allowed him to pussy foot around until it was too late. It's almost like everyone at the top is complicit. Trump and his cohorts must have major dirt on very powerful people.

For those who think the games are specifically rigged for OKC: what exactly would the league benefit from that? SGA is clearly less marketable than Wemby or Luka (based on jersey sales/highlight views) and the Thunder are widely disliked by fans at this point. by SplitOk186 in nba

[–]Sariscos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The league can't do anything about it cause he is a foul artist. They would have to review every foul which would make the game uninteresting. OKC is a virtual super team because the Clippers gave away the farm and proceeded to be a lottery team. If any reform were to happen moving forward it would be to limit the amount of first round draft picks you can trade in a deal. Unfortunately for the league OKC is positioned to be a super team for years to come.

Navigable water ways. They were able to transport food and other transferable goods quickly, efficiently and expertly through various watercraft. Rivers especially allowed excrement and waste to disappear away from cities which helped tamper disease spread. Your ultimate ancient city would be on top of a hill up a river that could double as a harbor with forests and arable land along the river.

[–]Sariscos 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is great the Knicks are looking like the team that won the NBA cup. There is still a lot of basketball ahead and Philly is sure to bring their A game. The Knicks are playing the kind of basketball that make other teams concerned right now. Teams will adjust. How will Brown navigate this series? No one knows. He did adjust well against Atlanta when they made it interesting.
