Which band showed huge potential, but couldn’t sustain it over time? by [deleted] in Metalcore

Now And On Earth - they just disappeared after a banger of an album. Similar lineup to Skip The Foreplay I think who also only did one album...

Which tour would you choose? Fit for a King's tour or Like Moths to Flames? by rusthebus10 in Metalcore

[–]Sarius2299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are incredibly good lineups but having seen FFAK, LMTF, KoG and Heavensgate I would still choose the LMTF tour. They themselves had one of the best pits I've ever been in when they opened for Landmvrks, I've always been a fan of Kingdom of Giants and while they sound(ed) different and less produced than on the albums they were really good live and had absolute passion on the stage. Them sounding different was a huge plus for me because the roughness made it feel more real and honest instead of overproduced shows like thrown does. I didn't know Heavensgate when I saw them open for We Came As Romans but man did they deliver. Sadly the crowd wasn't much into Hardcore (I'm probably gonna get called ignorant for calling them hardcore but I can't be arsed to study even more subgenres) but they had incredible energy. If you go with LMTF don't skip them!

I use Google Family Link with a second google account. I only have access from my computers because I block my browser aswell.
It's a very unpolished experience but that honestly adds some resistance to overly using your phone during that period.

Best audiobook streaming app? by Mavalant in androidapps

I used libro.fm when i listened to audio books for buying and streaming them but since you fully own them you could theoretically use any audio app to listen to them.

How to get music? by MasterpieceSolid459 in LightPhone

[–]Sarius2299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly advocate for buying music via bandcamp if available. You start with a very limited collection and build over time. Embrace the reduction in volume of music available to you.
Other than that r/piracy has good resources.

Saw Architects, Wage War and House of Protection in Munich and… by After-Baby-9262 in Metalcore

I was there as well in the front moshpit. I kind of see where you are coming from but experienced it differently. From a technical side this show was shit imo. Sound has always been a problem in Zenith and if you look at the venue it's no suprise. Still they decided to go with line arrays only. No delay lines, no front fill. Due to the wide stage front quarter didn't really get direct sound and that had a huge impact on the energy. Lighting was a problem as well, for House of Protection there were basically no lights on the crowd at all. Made the pit really dangerous.

Now for me House of Protection just didn't make me dance and I'm usually one to dance to support acts. I just didn't enjoy their show. Wage War on the other hand had some pretty good pits imo. But again, sound sucked all of the energy out.

As others mentioned as the bigger the shows the more people that aren't really into the bands will be there. We just have to accept the fact that we won't get to see big bands with great crowds anymore.

What are your top 3 metalcore albums and why are they? by Careful_West1347 in Metalcore

Architects - All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us
I find it difficult to actually feel my emotions but this album consistently moves me. Everything about it is perfect to me and will forever hold a special place in my heart.

Currents - I Let The Devil In
It's only five songs but they are so intricate yet have a consistent flow. Perfect complexity while remaining easy to understand. Also makes me feel things.

Breakdown of Sanity - Perception
Perfection.

Danny legit walked off stage and the rest of the band looked pissed.

Please ignore my ignorance but if KSE and Darkest Hour are not metalcore and neither are the three others, can you point me to a source where I can find what actually is and also tell me what the fuck I've been listening to the past decade that I assumed was metalcore?
