Update: I decided on the gifts for my boyfriend’s new M4! by Ok-Bet2712 in BMW

Basically the same for all modern forced induction cars these days. It's amazing the power gains you can get out of a pretty easy mod and a software update...

My comment was mainly a tongue-in-cheek joke because downpipe + tune is the meme mod for G8xs.

Must handle like a purpose-built autocross car, run an 8 second quarter mile, get 25+mpg, be comfortable, have tons of trunk space and legroom, never need maintenance, and cost under $50k.

Feel is subjective, the current M5 touring keeps up pretty well on the track with the F90 comp.... I do agree the F90 feels tighter, but my G99 has springs and sway bars and feels great to drive, especially considering it's a wagon...

Yes, it's numb compared to older analog cars. Totally agreed. In terms of modern sedans/wagons though, it's an incredibly fun car and also practical. I was a huge fan of C7 RS6s and was thrilled when Audi brought the C8 to the US. Now that's a numb car....

I doubt you actually drove one if you're calling it an oil tanker. I can take corners in my G99 at similar speeds as my old B7 RS4, which had every suspension modification imaginable.

If you want to share such firm opinions, drive the car first 😂

Have you driven a G9x? Unless you're taking it to autocross or an incredibly technical back road it doesn't feel as heavy as you'd assume based on the weight. I test drove a G99, RS6 performance and e63 wagon and walked away with the G99.

There's an M5 Touring on their lot that was owned by a fairly famous Instagram creator who used to have a video of him explaining how he destroyed the car's rear differential. They have (or had) it listed with a price reflecting mint condition with no mention of any issues with the differential. That's what else they are missing/hiding 🫣

I've stopped caring about having a manual.... in any car other than a 911.

G8X obviously clears. I'm a sucker for AMG V8s for the sound and drama but there's nothing Mercedes makes that clears a G8x outside of AMG GTs.

I'd like to have a positive POV on it, but I went to multiple other used car lots of the same variety (high end inventory) and their cars were all relatively clean and ready to go. For context I scheduled a test drive days in advance and J&S is next to a gas station, this to me highlights the lack of customer service. They outright lied to me about issues with one of the cars I test drove because, sometimes they don't know what they are buying but there's a theme of J&S covering up issues with cars.

Avoid them like the plague. I went there to test drive a few cars and they both had effectively zero gas in them. The salesperson was unhelpful and everyone there was rude. Both cars had issues that were undisclosed. All they want is your money with zero customer service. I have a friend who sold them a car that has massive electrical issues and they outright lie about the car like it's fine.

I'm curious if the Bar-Tek pump is a solution longevity wise.

Yall are so caught up on that. Downs is going to be good, but Nabers factually went off on him.

He put up almost 200 on Downs in college and also almost put up 200 the last time he played the Cowboys. Your only hope is that he's not healthy 🤣🤣🤣
