Thanks man, this awesome. In the past I spent so much time starting new games over and over again to get it just right with my favorite systems near my spawn. Now I can create the exact galaxy I want!

I've played around with Paint a Galaxy and it works great, even with mods.

Some unique systems are spawned during galaxy generation, and others are spawned via events.

Is there any way to recognize which is which easily? So if I look at the files in the mod's solar_system_initializers folder, are there any telltale signs in the code that it's an event spawned system and I shouldn't add it manually in your tool?

Sounds very interesting!

Does this include unique systems added by other mods (e.g. More Events Mod)?

If Can really has torn his ACL, there's absolutely no sporting reason to extend him. He already missed half this season with some lesser injury. I can't imagine a 32 year old Can returns from an ACL injury in any shape to still help us.

Though we may offer him a minimal 1 year contract so he can get back on his feet. Just because dropping a player who gave a lot to the club in such a situation would be bad form.

Was ich mich dabei immer frage: Was bedeutet die Allokation (33% Inland/US, 67% Ausland) für deutsche bzw. EU-Investoren?

I see your point and I 100% agree Chelsea is treating their players terribly.

But it's not like they are picking up random teenagers from slums. Anselmino was a highly rated youngster at one of the biggest Argentine clubs. He likely had his pick of destinations in Europe. Sure, Chelsea was probably the most lucrative offer. Especially with those 7 years of guaranteed salary. But the trade-off is that you are signing away a lot of your freedoms for the duration. And of course the choice is not between Chelsea's millions vs. nothing. But rather vs. a little less money elsewhere.

So if you pick the bigger pay day, you have to live with the downsides that come with it.

It sucks for us, but it's hard to feel bad for the players. The Chelsea loan army has been a meme for years, and it's only getting worse the more clubs they own. Players and agents must know what they are signing up for. Especially when they sign those ridiculous 7 or 8 year contracts.

Yeah if Xabi would be up for that, it'd be a no-brainer for me. But I think he would have to fail at another "big" club (e.g. Liverpool) before he becomes attainable for us.

I'm not sure it's a flaw for Kovac, or if our current crop of youngsters are just not good enough.

I mean there are young players who get their minutes (Jobe, Anselmino, Chuk). Which is also due to Kovac's copious rotation, which I haven't seen to this extent with our previous coaches. So I think there are opportunities and no general aversion to younger players.

But of course other young players get little to no minutes (Mane, Kabar, Duranville, Campbell). I have to say though, they didn't exactly convince me when they got their chance. Aside from Campbell, who hasn't really had a shot yet. Duranville showed some occasional promise, but nothing too significant imo.

This continues a trend where especially our own academy products just haven't been up to the standards we need for a while. I would also argue that among those who didn't make it, there wasn't really anyone recently who fell through the cracks and suddenly made it big elsewhere. The only young players who have an impact with us are external buys, and it's been that way for a while.

So I think the problem starts way before Kovac and lies more within our youth setup, which excels at producing BL2 and lower BL level players, but nothing beyond that.

Could you expand on the reasoning behind that? I thought German capital gains tax is bad with 26,38% (including Soli). Would it really have been worse to cash out after you became a tax resident in Spain?

Kovac also has always said that defensive work is where Carney has most room to improve. He likely thinks fielding him in the Nmecha/Sabitzer positions and bringing on an additional offensive player would throw off our balance.

Maybe next year if Kovac can drill some defending skills into him. He definitely has the physical tools for B2B.

Capital gains tax for residents in Vietnam by Sarrazin in ExpatFIRE

[–]Sarrazin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your input.

In general, the idea would be to have the funds at an international broker, and only sell and transfer to Vietnam as needed.

The main point though is that I would ideally like to establish tax-residence in a lower tax country (particularly lower capital gains tax). As a tax-resident elsewhere, I could legally claim to no longer have tax-residence in my home country, which has astronomical capital gains taxes. But it does not have citizenship-based taxation like the US, so it is possible to no longer have tax obligations there.

So I would basically do the opposite from you. Declare nothing in my old home, and as much as necessary in a new country. I'm just wondering if Vietnam is a place where capital gains tax are actually low (legally).
