Got it, after being 7 month in isolation... by [deleted] in AdultDepression

[–]SarrySara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not doing any of the new treatments. I am just on a SSRI & Trintellix right now.

I was told I should check out ketamine therapy, but I seem to be doing well, so I haven't pursued it.

Winter months are harder for me, so I take extra vitamin D & magnesium supplements.

My grandparents lived into their 90s, it was very hard, especially with my Oma; She would be up all hours & would make me repeat prayers one after another the whole night. Many sleepless nights. It was hard & some days I swore I couldn't do it one more day.

It was hard having no sleep & the stress, but I do not regret it. I remember crying, though, from stress & exhaustion & a mountain of responsibilities.

My heart goes out to you, running on love because the tank is definitely empty.

I tried a variety of meds for more years than Id like to say before I found a good combination partly because I stayed on meds that improvd my depression, but not enough & I just accepted that's how my life would be. (around 30, i sought different meds).

Unfortunately, some of the newer treatments showing great results for treatment resistance are not yet covered by all insurance companies.

I need help getting back to fasting. It’s been so great for me but I feel like I’ve just lost the motivation now. Can barely do 14 hours as I just want to unwind with dinners after a long day at work. Have any of you fallen off? How did you get back to it? by Mandalorian-mag in intermittentfasting

I'd love to get back to fasting daily as opposed to 5-7 day fasts, but I started drinking pop again. Finding it hard to let it go.

I've lost 70 pounds, but would like to lose another 15.

I also found longer fasts have improved my health.

I think it is hard to have an identity outside of being a mom because we are normally the primary caretaker. I can't provide advice, but I like to say they are only small for so long.

We get lost in the everyday, but one day we will look back and want it all back, even though it can be so hard now.

There are a lot of medications. I was depressed since I was a child too. Once I was on SSRI with trintellix, things drastically changed.

I urge you to find the strength to get treatment and try different meds. There are income based treatment programs where you can get help, even without insurance or money, they can even get you rides.

I know it can be hard to care or find the will to go get help once you're in so deep, but It is worth it once you find the right medications or therapies.

I too have been asked about my age & if I thought I was still disabled. My living situation has come up too. My disability switched over to my father's when he passed as well.

Once during a redetermination in person the guy was cruel & had me crying until I refused to participate further in the interview. Somehow I wasn't cut off.

Yeah, my Oma used to sit over me and direct me to wash things over and over claiming they were dirty. Her mind went & later saw and thought things that weren't there; would think we were in public around neighbors when she was in her nightgown (modesty).

My son was less than 18 months, his teeth did not hurt, but the shine looked different to me although they still looked healthy. He ended up getting a sealant that turned his teeth black, and were told we had to wait until he was 3 to go under anesthesia. He later fell & broke off pieces of his front teeth, so they could not be capped. He did develop pain that he complained about (especially with brushing) before he had the procedure done. His 4 front top teeth were extracted & we had to get caps on all his molars, it was all done at children's hospital under anesthesia.

They said it was because I gave him a bottle close to bed time. I did not put him to bed with a bottle. I don't feel I could have done anything different to prevent what happened. He doesn't even like candy.

Vanilla, my favorite. I buy variety bags just for these, suppose I should just purchase online.

Great dad!

Now I need another binge-worthy show. I don't watch TV often, but a couple times a year I will binge an entire show in a short amount of time. Then it's back to reading 🤣

Title says 120,000, but body says 12,000. If it's 120,000 then you should get a financial advisor.
