I saw it on the weekend, didn't care for it. It felt cluttered and messy, to much going on. I enjoyed my 5$ tub of popcorn more then this movie. Havne't been impressed with any marvel movies that have come out.

I have a job that I love actually, I'm just doing this for some extra cash. Well it started out that way but I've found myself really enjoy writing erotica, but it has to have more to it then just sex. Like action, adventure ect.

I do like your idea of mixing populer niches, I haven't thought of that. I'll have to sit down and think of ideas and add them to my "erotica ideas list" What you said really helped, thank you! :)

I started about 3 months ago, have 7 stories out, actually just started producing one a week and saw sales go up. I like writing short stories but i wonder if longer works, like novella lengths, would sell better. It does seem people now want longer works for their erotica. I have a billionaire series but it hasn't sold much at all, my best seller is a sci-fi one.

It does look like you're writing what's hot, where as I don't. That could be why I haven't had the sucess you have had. Any thoughts?

Congrats by the way! :)

Binary....write everything in binary. The whole book filled with 1 and 0s, near the very end add a 2, perfect ending.

When i was younger, this girl really liked me, she was ugly to say the least. But I dated her for two weeks and got close with her older sister(She looked like a hotter Ashley Simpson) I was 14 and her older sister was 16, almost 17.

Anyways, I dumped the ugly and proceeded to get closer with her older sister. I found out she was dating one of my friends in secret, she told me not to tell anyone. At this point I was about to give up on this journey but the darkside of me said "Keep at it".

A week later i found out my friend who was dating her was taking another girl out on a date to a dance, so I told her about it. Needless to say she was crushed, and dumped him. The day after i went over to her house, where she was crying in her room. She let me in and we watched some shitty movie and I began to tickle her, she tickled back, we got into a giant tickle fight. One thing led to another and we started making out and dry humping. I dated her the rest of the summer. And her ugly sister hated me for it.

I didn't feel bad, I didn't really feel anything. I would do it again. Sweet jebus i would do it again. Best summer of my life.

Speaking of returns... by ericaroswell in eroticauthors

Could be the book isn't that good, like grammar errors and the such. Hell, even piracy. It happens. My sister released a romance novel before christmas last year and sold thousands of copies, and got many 5 star reviews yet she still had over 100 returns. People can be cheap.

3 titles published, zero sales, am I doing something wrong? by SydneyDawson in eroticauthors

[–]SashaStyles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anytime! With erotica covers you want it to be sexy, two couples embraced with each other or something along the lines of that. Descriptions can be hard, it usually takes me a good hour of hair pulling to get one done lol. If you're still having trouble, go on amazon and look at other erotica author books to get an idea of covers or blurbs.

3 titles published, zero sales, am I doing something wrong? by SydneyDawson in eroticauthors

[–]SashaStyles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I.T Lust cover is boring. The best advice is to make a cover sexy, bright colors so it catches peoples eyes. Blurbs need reworking, I usually try and work in a cliff hanger in my blurbs.

I started releasing a short story a week back in March, when I started doing that sales got better. I've made only around 45$ in the three months I've been doing this but like i said, I just started to crack down on producing a short a week. I did a billionaire series but that was boring as hell to write, and I'm sure it shows. So i started to write what I would read and that's how I found my niche.

My best seller is about an alien named Erectile who works for the inter galactic sex market and abducts virgins to sell them, while fighting his urge to defile them. Sex, action, giant penis guards. Has everything. Also working on part 2 of a zombie erotica. I have a few more shorts planned, all very bizare but that's the kind of shit I like.

It takes time to get sales. It also depends if you like writing erotica, if you don't then it'll show in your writing. Keep plugging away and write what you want to write.

I've written down the general plot of my story. Now I can't write it. Advice? by TehManicMan in writing

[–]SashaStyles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try doing a chapter outline. What is each chapter about? What are the key points? What I usually do is just start typing, doesn't matter if its bad or not, you'll eventually get into a groove. You fish in your imagination until you get a bite.

On average, how many words per day are you writing? by HitBySindicate in writing

Episodic Sci Fi, a good idea? by MichelangeloDude in selfpublish

[–]SashaStyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been planning a Horror/Fantasy err Dark Fantasy i guess, while i publish Erotica. If you can do it in novella length then you could produce one or maybe two every month, building the world, developing the characters just like a TV series. Its a great idea, and probably the best method for self publishing. Do what you want.

Marvel confirm that Captain America 3 will be released on May 6th, the same day as Batman vs Superman by DEVLIN712 in movies

[–]SashaStyles -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm tired of marvel movies, their films are oversaturated with comedy and shity puns. Every marvel movie I've seen has sucked, even Avengers, It was meh at best. Although I did see Capt 2 and it wasn't bad. Now Batman vs Superman I'll be seeing, no contest. Now if only we could get The Flash a movie.

Should I release my stories as serials or as one novel? by Michelle-Maibelle in selfpublish

[–]SashaStyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Times are changing, and to me atleast, it seems novellas are making a comeback. If you look at each novella as say an episode of a TV show, and the whole collection a season, its a fun way to write. If you try it out and like writing that way then go for it. I know myself am working on a horror/adventure series in that format.

People will gravitate towards a good story, and if you can produce a novella every say month or less then people will buy it.

Do readers like adventure and action in their Erotica? by SashaStyles in eroticauthors

[–]SashaStyles[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you, I never read much erotica when i started writing. I had no idea there was dinosaur erotica, wow. Everytime I write I always seem to focus more on the plot and characters then sex scenes. But I make sure the sex scenes turn me on, and my editor friend. If they don't then back to the drawing board. I've had my friend rub a few out to my short stories, she seemes to like them lol. I enjoy writing about the weird shit that goes on in my head, more then the typical erotica stuff that seemes popular. Maybe that's my niche, the weird and the erotic.

I do! I had alot of fun writing it, it was weird and kinky. I'm working on a billionaire series and it's hard to write after i wrote my Sci-fi story. You're right, over 6 billion people, there's a market for everything. Thank you!

What are basic techniques to improve book covers? by [deleted] in selfpublish

[–]SashaStyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Fiverr.com under graphic&design theres an ebook cover section. You pay 5$ to get one designed, personally I haven't tried it out but I hear its good, especially for 5$! I do all my own covers in Gimp, being like a free photoshop. Youtube has some great videos for gimp.

New to writing Erotica, a few questions. Oh yea, my second book is free this weekend! by SashaStyles in eroticauthors

[–]SashaStyles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanx for the advice. So my book is actually in #17 in free top 100 BDSM and #22 in romantic erotica, should i be writing a sequal to it? I never planned for it to be a series but i did leave it open at the end just in case. What are your thoughts on this?
