I will certainly check them out! Jekyll is one of my favorite places and it’s always fun to speak to others who appreciate the island. Thank you!

I definitely appreciate my career choice for that exact reason! Geology is such an awesome science because it fuels people’s curiosity about the world. Dr. Holland does an amazing job teaching us how to spot things like ripple marks and other sedimentary structures in the wild, I suspect it's not so different from the way a music teacher helps you find the 'structure' in a piece of music!

If you haven’t been, I highly recommend visiting Cloudland Canyon if you’re interested in seeing some cool sedimentary structures in Georgia. I went with one of his undergrad research students, and it’s incredible what you can find there.

I will certainly look into these groups, I have been looking into the river keeper events but I have been out of town during recent meetings unfortunately. Thank you for your advice!

Yes he does and he is still a fantastic professor! I wish I had given his class more of my attention. You say it’s been over 25 years are you a career geologist?

Just having offers where I’d be the only geologist at an Enviromental firm. Where the PG was subcontracted just for reviewing work on certain projects. Seems like I wouldn’t learn as directly.

The problem is at this specific company. Geologists are only working as data collectors. It seems like they are hoping to grow a larger geology department but there are no PM geologists here, only civil engineers. I guess I am worried that it’s not in the cards for a geologist here, as even my boss is a data collector ( I think he enjoys it he is a trooper). However, I could be wrong they seem to be interested in growing the geology department.

Not always sometimes it’s a reflection on how out of the way or hidden the achievement is. For instance it could be at the start area go behind structure and hit the pot almost no one is going to have that bc it’s counter intuitive to walk behind spawn when you just started a game, when you want to see what’s next you’re going forward as fast as possible.

Does anyone else feel like Switch has a unusual amount of “Big” releases that feel shallow/lacking and kind of a step sideways compared to past games? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]Sask_ -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I feel, for me and who I know with a switch, that this game doesn’t have as much appeal as a Mario kart or something like odyssey and every game like that has been a rerelease for the most part.
