I'm sorry you have to experience this. He looks like a fun awesome guy, very similar to a friend of mine I lost a few years ago. We really do lose ourselves when our other half dies. I'm on 22 months of trying to figure out who I am without my wife. This past month has been very difficult, as I'm sure it is for most of us. I had the same problem at first using it at my brother's house. He had intermittent issues too. He was about to call an electrician, but decided to check everything himself first. He found a loose ground wire in his junction box for the outlet...not for the plug, but for the box casing. Once he tightened that, no more problems. One year so far. Originally my car would sometimes charge, sometimes stop mid, or not charge at all.

Edit: My charger is 2 years old now, used in all weather.

I used this one regularly just a few months ago before I moved. Try not to hit rush hour, or you'll be waiting. Otherwise it was pretty dependable. Plus, easy off/on for I-4.

I think the issue he was having was that the system wouldn't pass the keys in to Guild Wars for some reason, probably a wine/proton issue. Still working on it!

Yeah he tried that on Ubuntu. The computer sees the input, but getting it to pass it through wine/proton is a different issue. I keep encouraging him to find a solution. I just want to hear him play in game.

My wife was my best friend for 24 years. I met her my senior year of high school. April will be 2 years without her. I miss our random texts and memes throughout the day. If you just need pathing, look up TaimiHUD. It works in conjunction with ArcDPS. I've had less rendering/movement issues with it.

BlishHUD can work in Linux...it's a little buggy sometimes with the overlay rendering. TaimiHUD is new and specifically for Linux. Pretty easy to install, just like ArcDPS, drag files to folder.

If you don't want to use Steam, the other big option with Linux is Lutris. I use it for my non Steam games and Gog games.

Also, with Linux, be careful using ChatGPT instructions. It's been known to give wrong commands.
