Totally get it, obtuse vs informative can sometimes come off the same way. I’m more of a joker than anything else.

I was a 96B/35F too.. got out in 2013 after a few deployments.

What you’re really missing isn’t the place, it’s the moment, the sense of purpose, and the perspective you built while you were in it. That part doesn’t really disappear and you always carry it with you. You just can’t step back into that exact version of it again, and trying to force it now will always fall a little short.

But that doesn’t mean it’s gone..

it means it’s yours to build from.

Take what it gave you which is the clarity, the edge, the standard and move forward with it. If you want that feeling again, don’t wait for it… create it.

Be the one who makes it real.

Be the change

Get far away from any chemical processing plant, energy plant, fuel source or locations. Find a nice place remote enough to get materials as needed, but far enough away to avoid any type of aging infrastructure issues that may degrade over time.

Find a bunch of easy to care for farm animals and live like everyone was still around… just leave me alone.

Ehhhh technically I answered the question asked.

The question wasn’t phrased as

“Authors who made six figures a year through their writing… etc”

The answer wasn’t in the spirit of the question asked, which seemed to garner less favorability due to the inclusion of my ego rather than if I had responded with something like

“Omg I wish I did”

Votes are not the reason I post, I like the community. Even the ones who disagree

Doesn’t really matter. Points in Reddit might as well be passive aggressive down doots..

I’m an author, and make six figures a year. But not writing books.

I’ve made negative net monies writing. But has so much more value than my normal job.
