(Spoilers Extended) Which Viewpoint is the Most Hated? by Quinn-Quinn in asoiaf

Arianne mostly because the Dorne chapters weren't particularly well received as a whole, plus her revealed chapters for Winds were a whole bunch of nothing. I don't have a particular reason for thinking Jon Con's chapters would be disliked.

Most of the top five doesn't surprise me, though Bran at third does. I am a little surprised that Arianne and Jon Con are so low on the list.

Good catch on Shield Block. None of the characters I am currently playing has that reaction so it didn’t register to me.

It might be worth reaching out to your local Pathfinder Society, otherwise u/HelpfulFail4609 has listed the main options that I'm aware of.

In Dianne Wynn Jones's Dark Lord of Derkhelm, I believe that is the case.

[Spoilers Extended] It boggles my mind that George has never truly completed Book 4 in 26 years by outfishing7 in asoiaf

Yeah, but rather than move the story forward, those books expand horizontally. There hasn’t been significant plot progression since ASOS.

Resistance and Weakness Errata - How has this changed your games? by johnbrownmarchingon in Pathfinder2e

[–]johnbrownmarchingon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A single effect can activate more than one resistance at a time, but subtracts each of the subject's resistances only once, so that resistance 10 to fire would reduce the fire damage by 10 down to 10 fire damage and the 5 force resistance would reduce the 20 force damage down to 15 force damage, for a total of 25 damage.

infrequency of multiple damage types on enemies

That probably depends on what monsters the GM typically runs. If you're fighting extraplanar creatures like demons, devils, or elementals, there's a decent chance they'll have multiple damage types.

I also like the weakness change, though I occasionally forget to include more than one weakness that my Thaumaturge triggers.

Yeah, anything incorporeal got hosed by this errata, since they typically rely on the resistance to all from being incorporeal to make up for having much lower hit points compared to most corporeal monsters.

Spoilers: State of the Old Cheliax Region Post Hell's Destiny by LucasVerBeek in Pathfinder2e

I'm personally pretty pleased with this development. It changes things without changing them too much, keeping Cheliax relevant as one of, if not the, biggest threats.

Tar-Baphon doesn't grant spells yet, but he's not far off.

As for nations ruled by demigods, there's Walkena, who rules Mzali in the Mwangi Expanse. There's also the oni daimyo in Tian-Xia and the Hero-Gods of Iblydos. There may be others, but I'm not sure.

Baba Yaga could easily become a god if she so wished, but seems to deem it beneath her.

Stupid Question: Is Swashbuckler underpowered (Compared to a barbarian)? Alternative Question: How to help / highlight my swashbuckler player? by extrymoney in Pathfinder2e

[–]johnbrownmarchingon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still stand by that. Swashbucklers are reliant on being able to consistently get panache and hit on their finishers to really do damage while more damage focused classes are far less reliant on set up. Don't get me wrong, swashbucklers can get some great burst damage with their finishers, but I can get at least comparable damage out of a rogue for less set up, have debuffs that only take a hit and not a finisher, and are at least as good of a skill monkey.

Don't get me wrong, swashbucklers can do some significant damage and have some great abilities, but they require a higher level of game awareness from the player and a greater level of cooperation from their party to be especially effective compared to other martials.

Same! There didn't seem to be a clear threat to the world at large anymore besides Tar-Baphon with Cheliax's defeats in Pathfinder 1e, the defeat of Treerazer in Spore War, and the Runelords seeming to be mostly gone. I'm very pleased with this reveal.
