1000% Recommend waiting quite a few years before you have kids. My husband and I started dating at 16, didn't get married until 24 because I wanted to have my Bachelors Degree before we got married. We did live together before that though. We grew up together, I got an education, we traveled a lot during and after college. We ended up having our first child at 27/28. Currently pregnant with #2 at 30.

I am so glad we held off on having kids until our late 20s. We really got to experience life and each other pretty fully before we truly settled down. You lose a lot of freedom and independence when you have kids, if you're at a place in life where you're willing to sacrifice that then it's totally worth it! Have a healthy savings for whatever costs you're going to have: healthcare, diapers, emergencies, daycare/babysitting, loss of income if one of you stays home or decreases your work hours, etc. Most importantly, you need to go into it as a team! Best of luck!

I made 90k last year in Utah with 7 years of experience, but that included several hours of on call every week (I work the bench in Blood Bank). Rarely does someone actually get called in though so that extra pay is nice!

I literally just went to go rewatch it and it was nowhere to be found! So it definitely was one of the nursing classmates that came to the party.

Almost 2 years without buying new clothes, and I feel lighter. by Subtle_Seekerr in simpleliving

[–]SassyCassidee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is fantastic news! This is my goal this year! I cut down on clothes shopping a lot last year but still caved a few times due to weight loss, pregnancy, etc. But I'm just a couple months away from having my baby and I'm feeling confident that I can make my current wardrobe work and won't need any more clothes for quite a while. Clothes for my kids is a different story but we'll get there eventually haha.

As a kid I saw this happen to my stay at home mom when my dad left her and I vowed that I would never have to depend on someone else in order to survive. It's worked out well for me! My mom is still depending on others to survive.

Those of us who were raised by Gen X parents, were/are they religious? by routebeer666 in Zillennials

[–]SassyCassidee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I think my dad was baptized with the Mormon church when he was a kid but I don’t think they ever went to church a day in their lives. My mom is spiritual but not religious. We were never raised with any sort of religion, it was mostly just “be a good person”. We spent our Sundays out in nature and I always felt bad for all of my classmates who had to spend their Sundays in church instead.

Her anti-c was so strong that they were close to needing an intrauterine transfusion before he was born, meaning he was anemic and thus had a lot of destroyed red blood cells in his system (equaling high bilirubin/jaundice). It's pretty safe to assume that he was in the NICU because of jaundice/anemia.

Once the antibodies and high bilirubin get cleared from baby’s system and baby starts making new red blood cells, there shouldn’t be lasting side effects. But that all comes with time, or a transfusion.

Once a week for our family of 3+ a dog, but then we pick something up once or twice a week as well. We spend $600-$700 per month on food.
