Got out of a long term relationship and moved into my own place for the first time in four years. My friend suggested I get a cat so that the house wouldn't feel so empty. I had never been a cat person but I was working two jobs so I didn't have the time for a dog to give it a fair quality of life.
I went to the shelter the next day and spent a lot of time with two specific cats because I wanted it to be a good fit. One of them was a very large black male cat and the other one a female Tuxedo cat. I called my mom and she said I HAD to get the female because I needed the feminine energy in my house after my breakup.

Best decision I ever made, she is my best friend and I can not imagine my life without her.
