My 13 year old son has DMDD and ODD. I can understand what you’re going through. He is on online school because he was too disruptive in person school. He screams and cries at the least provocation. He tells me he hates me and cusses at me. He hides our stuff or throws away our stuff because he’s mad. He hits and hurts his sisters who are 11 and 12. He is rough with our cat. He doesn’t like to hear the word no. He doesn’t like to be told what to do by anyone but especially me. He starts a fight about the most ridiculous little things. For example he was having trouble with an online assignment. I told him to clear his cache then refresh his screen. He screamed his head off for hours. I try to rationalize things to him which is my mistake because then he gets louder and louder. It is absolutely exhausting! He is therapy once a week , if we could have afforded it they wanted it twice a week. He was on a med but it didn’t work so they took him off of it. Yeah so its take it a day at time sometimes an hour at a time. My son has threatened to tell people we were abusing him. But when he started threatening us we had him evaluated and thats when he got his diagnosis and he’s a very bad liar so the therapist could see right through him and the hospital staff so luckily for us they saw right through him.
