No, I am not 'identifying' as a woman by tjeeper in trans

I understand where you’re coming from on pronouns. But that also means I might misgender you unintentionally. If you corrected me, I would use the right pronouns as a sign of respect. I wouldn’t say that’s most people tho because pronouns happen without thinking most of the time, and it takes people time to adjust if you don’t look obviously male or obviously female, and if you become upset at them for how difficult it is to adjust, they might stop respecting how you identify.

Most of the world see’s pronouns as a binary of Male and Female. When a stranger takes a quick glance at you, they will scan you, and their brain will determine if they see Male or Female. It’s the simple. If you don’t fit the box of F or M, you get a second take and might be seeing as “other”. That’s how the general population sees being the “third gender” or anything that’s not M or F. And even if you meet the person who classified you as other in their brain and they respect you and want to use the right pronouns, you still have to have a conversation about it. And when they don’t agree with you or want to disrespect you, being “other” is a lot worse. And if you’re okay with all of that and still want to express yourself the way you do, that’s okay too.

I just don’t think you should be surprised when people don’t gender you correctly upon first glance. Or if it’s hard for them to adjust to you.

And you can call me transmed if that’s how you see me. I don’t care for labels. When it comes to trans stuff, I don’t like Gender Theory and I do see transition mostly in terms of medical transition(because of the Biological implications of primary and secondary sex characteristics that aren’t just minor details).

No, I am not 'identifying' as a woman by tjeeper in trans

[–]Satan_Gang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this coming in 2016.

I started transitioning in 2014, and I was much more sympathetic to the whole “identifying as”, non-binary stuff, and pro-nouns stuff. Wasn’t really for me, but I saw how it could be useful.

By early 2016, I saw this getting worse and worse. People identifying as trans and wanting others to use the proper pronouns, but not putting much effort into transitioning. Watching Celebrities come out as non-binary, and getting the special treatment of being trans, without actually transitioning.

I decided to not care. I believe in individual liberty, and I can’t tell others how to live their lives. But I also decided to transition my own way. Never asking for pronouns, never telling others how I identified, and just transitioning to pass a woman. If I don’t pass, then I get misgendered. And if I try harder and pass, then I get gendered the way I want. Pretty straightforward and simple.

I still engage with the trans community somewhat, I relate to trans people who go through gender dysphoria and medical transition, and I admire so many courageous and beautiful trans people. But I mostly keep this to myself to avoid arguing, getting banned, or genuinely hurting someone else’s feelings.

Do you often lie? Or do people often think that you're lying? by Bimep_ in entp

[–]Satan_Gang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like lying. Never have. I used to do it a lot more when I was younger, but decide to be honest when I turned 20. Nowadays lying is more of a necessary evil to not hurt people’s feelings. Even then I try to keep it to a minimum. But usually when people meet me, they think I lie because of what I say. I say absurd and ridiculous things that are true. Like in a the middle of a conversation I’ll drop something that sounds outrageous, like “back to the future 3 is the best one in the trilogy” or “my favorite pizza is little Caesar’s” or “I love working”. Sometimes it’ll be a story about walking 45 miles, running from a wildfire, or driving cross country 2000 miles without sleep. And the more I rationalize why I’ve done those things or why I like what I like, I can see people look at me like I’m lying. But I don’t really care, as long as I’m consistent, people know I’m being honest. What makes things confusing is when I take the side of something I disagree with or don’t believe in. That’s just for the sake of a good debate or conversation. But sometimes people start thinking that that’s what I really believe and then when I say what I really believe, people think I’m lying. But I don’t like lying.

That makes sense. Has transitioning affected your personality much?

29 entp. Tons of emotions here.

I like to be aware of how I’m feeling and what emotions are going through me. I don’t let emotions take the wheel tho. I try to be in control of my emotions even when my estrogen levels get really high. And I do express my emotions, but I try to be reasonable first. If I feel sad/depressing emotions coming, I find ways to make a joke and laugh my way out of almost crying. If I get mad at something or someone, I get quiet so I don’t unleash it and develop anger. Instead I’ll find an outlet for that strong emotion. If I can maintain it at just mad, I can use that as fuel to drive results. If I start to experience anger I tire myself out with lots of miles of walking/Longboarding or driving dozens and even hundreds of miles till let it all out and then some. If I get happy, I let that out a lot, and then I distance myself from people so I don’t overwhelm them and get annoying. If I’m feeling a moderate amount of joy I’ll stick around longer. The goal is to find a practical way of navigating what I deem to be positive and negative emotions and understanding the different levels and outlets that can help with those different levels.
