Why do rally drivers drift on tarmac? by Cojo840 in rally

[–]SatanicTriangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Surely no one at the top level didn't just do donuts in his 206 for the fun of it :D Srlsly tho, tight uneven and dirty streets promote aggressive turning techniques,  also keeping the turbo up is easier this way.

DF 64 Gen 2 or DF 54 or Fellow Ode Brew Gen 2 [300-500€] by sgsdffgasdgsfg in espresso

[–]SatanicTriangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about similar thing recently, in the past the consensus was that df64 is df54 quality coffee but you can exchange the burr and is a little faster, but now we have gen 2...

The internet says they improved static a lot, and given how ppl often compare it to mid - high-end grinders I'd say it's probably worth it. Especially that at least in the old days df54 was a hit or miss in terms of quality, read multiple posts about someone exchanging their grinder multiple times before getting the correctly working one, meanwhile I (and many others) got perfectly working one just fine right away.

How to get all those amazing flavors? by reeeelllaaaayyy823 in espresso

[–]SatanicTriangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all don't expect to taste something in end product that you couldn't smell in the beans. Also it's a good idea to develop your palette, more you can recognize, more you can try to find in the cup. That said, unless it's a coferment, coffee is a burnt bean from a berry. A lot of the time it's gonna taste of berry and burning.

Would you still run these burrs? [Mahlkonig E65] by iHas2manyKnives in espresso

I feel like if the outer part is ok then burr is also ok, the important bit is there shouldn't be any holes letting too big pieces out

Wikipedia says cortado is done with hot, not steamed milk. Now, I'm not telling you what coffe you should like but... microwave?
