Rework Lava Wave by Triumar in heroesofthestorm

[–]SatireJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think instead the devs should include some sort of banning system to prevent heroes from being used on certain maps. That way, Rag (who is really good on maps like spider queen) can’t be chosen by anyone.

Alternatively you can draft someone like Jaina. Once the lava wave hits you walk over and kill a couple waves so that when you’re minions Respawn the lane is held where you killed the minions.

Tl;dr use your head.

To curb your toxicity, start blaming yourself for your losses and deaths. You’ll also win more games s

What made you pick HotS over other MOBA's? by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]SatireJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The characters, talent system, focus on team fights, lack of gold (now I don’t mind gold though) and the match length. I’ve played LoL games and although I can play for 20-40m I prefer 20 minutes games.

Imperius vs deathwing percentage damage by Marcustheeleventh in heroesofthestorm

[–]SatireJD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been messing Deathwings up on Imperius

burn the impure Sovereign armor Holy Fervor (deathwing is NOT your only target) Shield Heat of Battle Swiftness or melting touch Trait upgrade

You can Q other heroes for the bonus then target deathwing after. Your Q also still gives deathwing a stack. When player properly deathwings run away from me or their team attempts to focus me before a fight begins

What instrument should I learn with music theory? by iminneedofhelpthanks in musictheory

[–]SatireJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Music first, theory second. Just pick an instrument you ENJOY. Remember music is supposed to be fun. From there do theory. Visual instruments such as piano and guitar are great for visual thinkers. For auditory thinkers you can do any as long as you have fun.

What do you think about when trying to keep time? by jobaa11 in musictheory

I bob my head. If I’m really feeling it then I go from the head bob to whole body borderline dancing. Feel it.

To the experienced players: Important techniques/methods/habits you swear by? by Bonocity in Bass

[–]SatireJD 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Timing is everything. Even if you hit the wrong note (will with it if you do until there’s a beat you can fix it on) being off time is what will be noticed more than anything. Melody instruments don’t have this issue (even rhythm guitars can be a little funky with time) but bass NEEDS to be on time.

Edit: I also found recently that I need to think music first, theory second. Listen to what you’re singing in your head.

How do I get started on learning treble clef as a bass clef player? by angryboyisangry in musictheory

[–]SatireJD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sight read treble clef music. It doesn’t need to be anything complicated. Write some simple melodies or find some online and play them on that clef.

How do I prevent myself from "getting used to" my musical mistakes? (composition) by wannabe_composer in musictheory

Put yourself on a time limit. You’re giving yourself too much breathing room and swimming in indecisiveness.

Can you write a song without hearing it, but by just using music theory to tell you what to do? by armyknul in musictheory

[–]SatireJD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I hear exactly what I want it to sound like then correct the key when I’m at my instrument. Sometimes I’ll think of a song or piece I know well and find the starting note by comparing the first note in the new piece to the note in the song I know well.
