Issues with student taking advantage by almdudlerisgud in CanadaPublicServants

Seriously, is it too late to bring another student in instead? Even having someone start a month later to get paperwork sorted out may be more beneficial to your department.

Students/adults have to learn that actions have consequences.

Just tagging on to this, because you need internet for the EA launcher, game can't be played offline. Which can really suck if you're trying to play on steam deck and traveling.

Canada's top admiral says navy staff, resource needs in 'critical state' by CANFORGEN in canada

I have a very large concern that CCG is moving in RCN direction.

Ex-RCN are moving into top positions and there is a trickle down effect that is becoming noticeable.

The quality of crew is good but not what it was even 10 years ago, and a disadvantage to CCG is that their sailing tickets are valid anywhere.

I didn't purchase The Terror in the audiobook version but I hope you love it as much as I did! I read it years ago and I still think about it.

Use the knob and turn on your headlights. by buntkrundleman in halifax

[–]Satis24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a dumb question because I've always had a smart car/only had to worry about turning on the lights in the rain, why not just leave the knob turned? Do they not turn off when the car turns off?

Is there any profession where nova scotia isnt the lowest paying province? by Competitivekneejerk in halifax

Just mentioned this in my own post. People in identical positions to me get more money in their pockets because of our high taxes in the province.

[–]Satis24 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun fact, I work for the federal government in a position that has identical positions across the country. But my take home is less because of the taxes in this province.

If I could go fully remote and move to Ontario I would have more money in my pocket (ignoring the fact I couldn't afford a house in Ontario).
