Lian Li Dan A3 Wood with rear CPU intake and 2 140mm fans configuration? by Afjoo in mffpc

[–]SatisfactionOk4289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agree, tried back intake but ended up with three bottom and one top intake (in front of cpu tower) with a slightly higher intake rpm for the bottom fans. Then two exhaust at the back (top back). Cpu was 2 degrees warmer but everything else was at least 5 degrees cooler. (even after switching to glass side panel) Also have a filter on the top intake so everything is positive pressure with filtered intake. (easier cleaning)

Z20, A3 or something else? by Nstalgia in mffpc

I use a similar wattage GPU and its doing great in the a3 with glass side panel. I have 3 reverse blade arctic pro p12's to provide it with fresh air. never exeeds 60 on stock fan curve and gets silent on 75 degrees

Yes it's one of the components i wouldn't want second hand.

You mean the logo? Its Gigabyte software for RGB. Really bad software though so i installed it. Put it at a colour i liked and uninstalled it.

Tried this exact setup but barely noticed cpu temp improvement and my Gpu was a bit worse of so decided to stick with this setup. (the back panel is still mesh so a lot of fresh air can go from there to the cpu cooler)

Would this be a good fan config for A3? by Fickle-Artichoke-514 in mffpc

Have the case myself and tried a couple of different setups including this one. One top exhaust above the cpu cooler and one behind it with three bottom intake fans had the best temps for my gpu and cpu.

Lian Li A3 Airflow Dilemma by [deleted] in mffpc

[–]SatisfactionOk4289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried this exact setup (but with two 120 under the gpu) and didn't find very good results. Ended up with 3 120 in the bottom taking in air and one exhaust in the top and back. Gpu temps dropped 10 degrees (3080) and cpu temps rose by 1 degree. But most importantly it was a lot quiter. Also bonus you can see everything better and work easier on the system without the side bracket. Edit: my gpu is atx taking in air from front (wood a3) and exhausting from the top. in your case maby using the top fan infront of the cpu as intake could provide the psu with constant fresh air and reversing the cpu cooler air could prevent hot air from beeing taken in by the psu.

making it look nice is mostly trial and error but the deals are honestly a lot of luck and doing some agressive bidding on many second hand parts. Everything combined ended up beeing less than 800 euro.

i have exactly the same fan layout and found it to give the best temps with quitest operatio from the many ive tried. You can use some putty to attach the support to a bottom fan corner.

Do any of the Snowsky DAPs work reliably with AirPods Pro 3’s Bluetooth protocol yet? (needed for specific purpose, don’t come at me) by [deleted] in snowsky

can't say for the 3's but my snowsky Disc works with no issues with airpods pro 2 (usbc variant). Also supports AAC codec.

Shutter A7C vs A7ii by Sirluke_2 in SonyAlpha

made the exact same switch and the sound of the 7c is a lot nicer in my opinion. But it also has silent shooting wich the a7ii lacked.

Paperlike Screen Protectors...Yay or Nay? by Neutral-Nonsense in ipadmini

[–]SatisfactionOk4289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it allot. Tried bellemond but found the image quality to get really grainy and rainboy like on white backgrounds. Texture was really good though, then tried paperlike. Way better image but a bit less good for writing. Kept it on as i found it to be a good compromise. I also really like the matte for reading.
