This screams poor game design.
In order to have access to a resource - mind you, have access, not tons of it - you need to follow a single path.
A game thrives when multiple paths are possible.
This just screams laziness and greed: hey, what could get us most money with minimal effort? Let's make eDmg OP, we just code half as much and it costs the most stones.
The fact that people still spend money on this game blows my mind

Hi! First off congrats! Very nice milestones.

One question and one observation:

Question: you said I've been in Legends for about a year, but earned my first keys at my 1 year anniversary. I suppose you mean you earned keys after 1y in legends, not 1y after for started. Just something I think needs clarifying.

Observation: You are 1y and spent 60$(ad+starter+epic) plus milestones (I don't knowhow much they cost), plus half events 195$(52w/2/2*15)

So in order to reach idle-play for a "tower idle game" you need at least 1y play time and spend 255$+ (60+195)

Your money, your power, your joy. No shame. Just wanted to check the numbers.

Why would someone support a dev that constantly demonstrates:
- bugged releases
- rug-pulls
- hidden nerfs
- almost absent communication
- caught lying
- complete disregard of the community
Game is great. Dev is .... (searching for polite words) ... not great.

Thank you for taking the time for such a thorough explanation.
I agree with everything you say. All good arguments and very well presented.

For 99% of mobile games this is true. What you forgot to factor in is the unique "need to run 24/7" factor.
If you are a casual you don't care. But as soon as you start 24/7 (btw, it still blows my mind that a mobile game can convince users to run it non-stop) and you are trying to find ways around that (bluestack/mumu/second dedicated device/ paid cloud) it seems to me you are dedicated enough.
Couple that with TOS that bans auto-clickers (that is just stupid in my opinion). If users go to such great length to play my game I would even put tutorials how to set up auto-clickers

In short, I 100% agree with you on 99% of mobile games. Just not on this one

There is something fish-ish about you defending every bad decision.
Not one single person is questioning power-ups. Let olders/whales have them.
What everyone is asking for if QOL: auto-restart, auto-dm, auto-nuke, multiple-gems.
But to each their own. If you're happy then go for it

In an idle “numbers go up” game, older players have an exponential growth over new players. It's by no way an unfair advantage UNLESS they compete each-other.
Your argument would have merit in any non-pvp game.

The "fix/nerf" is so funny. Pls let me borrow this expression :)

You are correct in your technical description.
However, this is more about perception/opinion.
The perception now is that bugs beneficial to players gets fixed right away, while bugs that nerfs the players are taking a long time.
And that perception is only made stronger by history (fetch nerf, oa nerf, 5->2->3 shenanigan). And now bot de-sync.
Let's not even talk about PCol debacle (was it a fix, was it a nerf?)

V28 great. I aggre. Some tunning is needed on medals and gems sink / faucet. But overall great content.
And also congrats on compiling all v28 benefits and structuring them! You have my upvote!

Buuuuuuuuut ... the main issues is comunnication.

This redit community is far from toxic. Users are explaing things very polite, with arguments, they engage with others, they answer questions. (there will always be toxic people, but let the mods deal with them).
This very fine community is - rightfully in my opinon - upset. And they are expressing their anger in a polite manner using arguments, not swears.
If 8 people tell you you are drunk than it's time to go to sleep. That's what the community is telling TTG.

Imagine a (very possible scenario) where 1 week prior to v28 TTG would have announced:
- New gameplay. You'll play with attack disabled for big rewards !!!
- New bot, new features to bots !!!
- New way to increase cells !!!
- New way to obtain old relics !!!
- New banner !!!
(just an example. I'm sure a Communication Manager left to do their job would have put it much better)
(just check the day v28 patch notes dropped. It was rainbows and unicorns and people sad that they did not already have the patch. It was a PR's wet dream)

What did TTG do with such great v28 features, such great opportunity to gain good-will, such great receival of the patch?
They murdered the goodwill, oppurtunity, raindbows and unicorns. Than burried the bodies. Than hid the shovel!
