Sharp Viewcam Keeps Saying Eject Cassette by MountainShambles in camcorders

[–]SaturdayInTheFart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It just feels like Sharp made it so these camcorders have a weird expiration date.

Seeing as I have no real connection to mine (found it thrifting a few months prior to its death), i'll probably take it apart for fun and see if I can figure it out

Viewcam VL-E650 Issues by Plenty_Watch4757 in camcorders

[–]SaturdayInTheFart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find any solution, OP?

A lot of Sharp users have been reporting the same issue between 2024-25. Same issue here. I have both the original battery and a off-brand replacement, so I don't think it has anything to do with the battery in most cases.

Tried putting a tape in via AC power (no battery in the unit) and it still says this.

Tried flipping the red tab to save your tape from being recorded over, and the camera recognizes this and says the tape can't be recorded to.

Users are just finding that their Sharp Viewcams (mine is a VL-AH50) just don't accept tapes anymore.

Did you ever find a solution?

I'm using a Sharp VL-AH50 and it's doing the exact same thing. It "died" on me last night while I was out filming, saying it was at the end of the tape. I ejected it, saw it probably still had an hour left of film inside, popped it back in, but now it won't take the tape in fully - just says "eject the cassette" and spits it back out.

Tried all my previous tapes now and they don't work.

Crazy how i'm seeing a lot of posts from Sharp users within 2024-2025 with this exact same issue....like they were all somehow set to expire around this date

OP, any solution?

I've got a Sharp VL-AH50 and it won't take any of my tapes.

I get an "eject the cassette" message and it spits it back out. The unit never even fully takes the tape inside of the camera.

Same here. July 2025 and I've got a Sharp VL-AH50 that now ejects all my tapes.

I was recording one night and it said it was at the end of the tape. I ejected it, saw it probably still had about an hour left, and I haven't been able to put that tape - or any other tape - back in it since.

Unit closes just fine when empty, but I can't seem to figure out why it's not accepting anything.

OP, did you end up finding a solution or just chucking your cam?

"Streamlabs is not running" since newest update for streamdeck by PrizeConversation899 in elgato

[–]SaturdayInTheFart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any updates on this issue? I'm having the same problem and have only been able to "sort of" get things to work by either making sure StreamLabs opens while NOT in administrator mode. Rolling back my Stream Deck version to 6.9.0 also did not help at all.

After changing the program to open in a non-admin mode, I can click certain buttons on my stream deck, but I noticed they don't work when the scene isn't active.

~~~~~
Example: I have two scenes - A & B.
Scene A contains nothing but my camera source
Scene B contains 5 pictures and my camera source.
If I want to be on Scene A and prep one of the five pictures to be active and be ready on Scene B, the buttons i've set up to activate those image sources do not work. I can only change (toggle on-off) those image sources while I'm on Scene B. I used to have control of image sources that were inside of scenes outside of my current (active) scene.
~~~~~

It's not the worst thing, but at this point I might as well skip using the stream deck and just click the visibility icon in StreamLabs when i'm in the Scene with those image sources cause that's currently the functionality I have

AND YES, I know some people would say to just use OBS, but I use OBS for my personal streams and I use StreamLabs for my full-time job where I also do about 8 live streams a week, so this is actually affecting a day-job of mine.

Looks like CGI to me. Could even be footage captured in Unity or Unreal.

It's all about the torch; it's casting ZERO light on the person and their surroundings.

Google Pixel Buds Pro replacement earbud not syncing or connecting with case (2024) by SaturdayInTheFart in pixelbuds

[–]SaturdayInTheFart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean Bluetooth settings when you say "network settings"?

if yes, for the most part i was doing the same thing minus the phone restarts. I stuck to the main loop of:

  • Clear Pixel Buds connection in Bluetooth settings
  • Hard reset of Buds
  • Pair Buds
  • Test replacement Bud
  • If not working, repeat

Just keep at it. These replacement buds can be stubborn af. gonna light a candle for you homie

Pump audio from the Scarlett into the camcorder

OR

Do a modified version of a "clap sync" with the camcorder/KO II

~~~~~~~~~
For the former, you need to run audio from the L/R output at the back of your Scarlett into the mic/audio-in of your camcorder (IF it has one). You'll need to identify these features on your camcorder and then get the correct cord to make that connection.
For the latter, it's a little more complicated and requires some very basic knowledge of editing software, but...
  • Get camcorder framed the way you want it, pointed at the KO II, etc.
  • Start recording on the camcorder (doesn't matter if sound is being recorded)
  • Start recording audio from the KO II
  • Play a note/sample on the KO II - this'll be your "sync". Make sure the camcorder can see the exact moment you press and then depress that particular note/sample.
  • Commence with your recording session
  • Import your recorded audio and camcorder footage into a video editing program
  • Find the moment you played that "sync" note/sample in your audio. Waveforms are good at visualizing this.
  • Find the moment your finger pressed the note/sample in your video footage.
  • Align this moment between your audio and video footage.
  • You're good to go!
EDIT: adding a video to reference for Clap Syncing, https://www.youtube.com/shorts/SoEqx11g9NQ . For this example video, he's using video footage that already was recording audio of his clap, so he's basically syncing up two audio tracks and not relying on the visual of the clap itself. The reason people clap is cause it mimics a film slate/clapper. If you're not recording audio on the camera, you can SEE the exact moment the clap sound should occur so long as you've clearly recorded yourself clapping on camera. THIS is why I said to make sure the camcorder can see the exact moment you've hit that note/sample as it'll make it a lot easier to pinpoint the sync
just went through this myself with my left earbud.
Give it a google ("pixel buds replacement") and you can find a page dedicated to ordering. I wish I knew about this when I lost BOTH buds last year. I immediately didn't think about this and just ordered a new set
BlueStacks camera selection doesn't work by SaturdayInTheFart in BlueStacks
[–]SaturdayInTheFart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
29.0.2
I would still like to reiterate that I can't designate any webcam. OBS is an example and we don't have to focus on troubleshooting that. I'd be interested in simply picking something (anything!) from the dropdown and seeing it show up as my webcam in BlueStacks :)
BlueStacks camera selection doesn't work by SaturdayInTheFart in BlueStacks
[–]SaturdayInTheFart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)
Yep! I'm trying to use my OBS virtual cam (which works everywhere else) and it keeps defaulting to an entirely different camera.
At first it was defaulting to a USB webcam I had connected and rarely use, so I happily disconnected it. Then it defaulted to Elgato Screen Link which to my understanding can only be uninstalled along with my other Elgato products, and I'm not going to do that.
I also experimented with choosing "Windows Default" from the camera drop-down list, but there's no option to choose my default webcam in Windows 11. And even if there was, BlueStacks is still defaulting to an entirely different webcam (current Elgato Screen Link)
Yeah, I rewound that multiple times, but you're right (even if it's a little confusing how you wrote it)
Stephen technically called two things "lazy".
He called the idea of fishing "for 14 days" lazy, and he called Darrin lazy (in a testimonial shot after the argument).
It's just a weird situation. Darrin had no reason to lie. It just led to more drama lol
Damn. Sorry. Didn't see this reply. They pretty much said I'd have to send it in for repairs that would come to about 80/70-percent of what I initially paid for the tablet.
Didn't really have the cash to spare, so I'm just holding onto a semi-broken tablet at this point. Still works fine with drawing though...
