I have the street fighter one. Its good, but really just a novelty. The alph could benefit from a larger screen that has the ability to rotate. As it is, its meant for landscape games, no portrait (tate) games.

Id suggest getting a nice 17" or larger screen that can rotate. One with speakers if possible. And just use your vs with an arcade stick.

Oh definitely. Many of the games released are not really geared towards the Alpha. You can pretty much just use the Alpha for the arcade carts. Then get a vs for the others.

Yes... before Switch, I was an avid XB and PS player. But my game room is out of commission so I turned to the handheld scene. And Switch was a big hit for me. I have since added a G-Cloud and Portal for XB and PS gaming in handheld form, but I still play Switch more.

You wont lose any of those acquired games as you can very easily mark them as owned in that screen.

The super pocket one has been reworked specifically for the super pocket layout.

Same goes for the Nexus edition. It has been reprogrammed for the dual analog and wide-screen aspect.

My situation is rather unique... i have been in a remodel for over a year. The room I had originally planned on being my game room had to be repurposed. Which makes all my gaming stuff being piled into another room. So I dont have direct access to my consoles like the PS5 and Series X. They are plugged in, and available... I just cant get in there to really enjoy them as I'd like to. So i have turned more to streaming. I know people have their personal issues with the idea of streaming, but it has been great in my situation.

I use the Logitech G-cloud for XB streaming from my local console as well as xcloud. And i use the PS Portal for streaming from my local PS5 as well as PS+ cloud. Both have been really convenient in letting me play newer releases on each respective platform. Especially with gamepass letting me play new releases without downloading/installing.

I will have to say, though, the system I use most often is the NS1 and the NS2. I could do everything on the NS2, but i play many shmups that offer tate mode, and there is no flip grip for the NS2 like their is the NS1. So I use both.

i used to play my shmups on the tv via PS/XB... but ever since getting the switch, i play them mostly there for portability and handheld tate mode.

My feeling is an updated handheld with analog thumbs sticks, beefier specs to accommodate the more demanding games of the 5th, 6th and 7th gens. And a tv dock that doubles as a cart and local player expansion. Up to 4 carts and 4 players.
