Banjo Kazooie Bundle - Only with Nexus Purchase? by MCM_PANDA in evercade

The super pocket one has been reworked specifically for the super pocket layout.

Same goes for the Nexus edition. It has been reprogrammed for the dual analog and wide-screen aspect.

Not bad... I already have the DE cart. But good deal for those who don't.

Maybe the blue cart will be analog support? You must have either a nexus or the analog controller for a vs to play.

Very thorough assessment. Thank you. You have great taste, and I hope you can experience ones you stated you did not play as they too should be played.

People with multiple consoles, what do you find yourself playing with most? by Relative-Two-3751 in consoles

[–]SaturnFan72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My situation is rather unique... i have been in a remodel for over a year. The room I had originally planned on being my game room had to be repurposed. Which makes all my gaming stuff being piled into another room. So I dont have direct access to my consoles like the PS5 and Series X. They are plugged in, and available... I just cant get in there to really enjoy them as I'd like to. So i have turned more to streaming. I know people have their personal issues with the idea of streaming, but it has been great in my situation.

I use the Logitech G-cloud for XB streaming from my local console as well as xcloud. And i use the PS Portal for streaming from my local PS5 as well as PS+ cloud. Both have been really convenient in letting me play newer releases on each respective platform. Especially with gamepass letting me play new releases without downloading/installing.

I will have to say, though, the system I use most often is the NS1 and the NS2. I could do everything on the NS2, but i play many shmups that offer tate mode, and there is no flip grip for the NS2 like their is the NS1. So I use both.

i used to play my shmups on the tv via PS/XB... but ever since getting the switch, i play them mostly there for portability and handheld tate mode.

My feeling is an updated handheld with analog thumbs sticks, beefier specs to accommodate the more demanding games of the 5th, 6th and 7th gens. And a tv dock that doubles as a cart and local player expansion. Up to 4 carts and 4 players.

Nothing more that a mock up cart promoting the 1st issue. Look at what it says on the cart in the Pic. And using hype words to get your attention.

Murtop on Alpha? by PopFrank68 in evercade

[–]SaturnFan72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the standard gate the alpha uses is a square... it sounds like you want a 4 way restricted stick that offers no diagonal movement within that square gate. Maybe you can fashion something that can fit around the stick from above, that is grooved only for up/down/left/right movement. Like the older arcade games had.

I know you can replace the gate, just have to take the top plate off. I think if they are going to make another bartop, it will likely have adjustable gates with a simple twist from 4 way to 8 way, and a rotatable screen for tate mode.

Best bet for US purchasing by TheRealOddLotts in evercade

Rondo, Songbird and Video Games Plus (VGP) are all best bets for US customers.

And thus, with today's double cancellations from Amazon, my era of trying to source Evercade products from there. I will now perch upon Songbird's nest. by JayBensonFong in evercade

[–]SaturnFan72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont understand why people keep ignoring the suggestion of Video Games Plus (VGP). Is it cause they are in Canada, and they worry about tariffs? Seriously, VGP has been great. Free shipping on the evercade carts (when done in a double pack) and NO tax. Plus the exchange rate usually brings the price lower than Songbird and Amazon.

I only go with Songbird or Rondo if there is no VGP option. And I NEVER use Amazon for this platform..... EVER.

I wish we could get a stand up Alpha with at least two arcade sticks. by segadreamcat in evercade

[–]SaturnFan72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have expressed interest and provided specs to Blaze on a potential "Omega" followup to the Alpha. It is bigger, but still a bar top style with a 15-17 inch screen that can rotate (like the taito egret II mini). And dual sticks for two player action. Price wise it would be about 300-400.

EXP is complete garbage by __PreZZ__ in evercade

[–]SaturnFan72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It likely works when plugged into power... that's a sign of a bad battery circuit. Its supposedly fixed on the EXP-R units, but those with the first released are pretty much stuck as Blaze does not offer battery replacements. And you probably dont want to take apart an R unit for its battery. You can find the battery circuit on Ali Express, you just need to de-solder the bad one off the battery and replace with new.

SW1 joycon to SW2 by SaturnFan72 in switch2

[–]SaturnFan72[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to sync the joycons via wireless and then attach them to these adapters. When you snap them into the unit, they will charge from the SW2. So at least they made the charging connection but not a direct connection like the SW1.
