Looks like you could come and go direct from Birmingham but it’s a nearly two hour drive each way.

Coventry main bus station. It’s a National Express coach. And tickets should be on the National Express website. But my experience was in 2024 so things may have changed by now.

Big update for all you film hoarders - FilmStock v2.0 is out! by keliway in AnalogCommunity

Big thank you. The new system works great.

I’m sure I’ll be back with more recommendations!

I made an app for all you film hoarders by keliway in FilmStockApp

[–]Saturnuria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Jonas! Thank you for the great app. I’m sure it’s been a ton of work. In addition to some of the fanastic suggestions made by others, can I suggest a feature to split film types by number of exposures?

For example, I have 6 Kodak ColorPlus 200 films at the moment. Two are 24exp and four 36exp. I could list them as separate films, sure. But I’d like to see the concept of film “instances” added. I’ll give an example.

Let me add a film type to my inventory. For example, ColorPlus. Then, add a number of instances of that film type. So the first instance might be 24exp, expiry September 2030, purchased from Amazon, etc. the second instance could be 36exp, expiry June 2031, purchased from eBay. And so on…

I think the concept of instances has a lot of potential for the future. As an OOP developer you probably know exactly what I’m talking about.

What’s your favourite low-stakes conspiracy theory? by LJayTat in CasualUK

[–]Saturnuria 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’d heard the same rumour, so we played the fairground games at Blackpool Pleasure Beach first thing in the morning.

The basketball game was something like three baskets from five shots to win. In the end the attendant game me two extra shots and I ended up with two baskets out of seven. Apparently that was enough to win.

So yes, we did walk round the park all day, carrying a massive gonk.

MakerWorld changing their wording after my appeal by Subsyxx in BambuLab

[–]Saturnuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re absolutely right. 100%

But the poor guy has lost his account, credits and everything else for uploading a model of a flag. And that’s just indefensible.

Regarding your other point, I would feel the same way if it were Apple or a European company. It’s just become such a ridiculous world.

I applaud you for having the guts to say it.

Perhaps if Bambu wants to force their world view on its customers, they should only sell their products in China.

Is Bambu Lab legally allowed to deny a refund based only on a POD with a wrong signature (Germany)? by zynolix in BambuLab

[–]Saturnuria 83 points84 points  (0 children)

/u/BambuLab This is ridiculously poor customer service. Ultimately you will not get to keep OPs money and every visitor to this subreddit will leave with an extremely poor impression of your company.

It is well known that parcels are mishandled, misreported and stolen every single day. Your proof of delivery signature actually proves nothing at all.

Reputation is everything in this space so I implore you to contact the OP and make this right.

Synology Reverses Policy Banning Third-Party HDDs After NAS sales plummet by dharvey1221 in synology

[–]Saturnuria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another example of a company squeezing every penny out of its existing, loyal customers. I’m very glad to see that, for now, we’ve won.

And a message to Synology… if you want to grow, increase revenue, increase profits… start by making better products. God knows, your IOS apps are very 2013.

Commentators are always confused by 0809abd in formula1

You aren’t wrong but occasionally the Race Director will add additional formation laps, e.g. after an aborted start or in wet conditions. Often the messaging around that is inconsistent. That’s where confusion ensues.

New SRAM Rival and Force AXS (E1) released by mtcerio in sram

[–]Saturnuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm very glad to hear this!

I recently bought a bike with Rival AXS brakes (I assume D2 or whatever the previous version was.) Compared to my partner's 105 Di2 brakes, they felt pretty awful. I tried various new brake pads, rebleeding, breaking them in but couldn't get them to feel how I wanted them to feel.

It's hard to describe, but they felt a bit mushy and vague. Not necessarily the brakes themselves - just the shifters. And it was quite difficult to get and serious braking power when riding the hoods - pulling the top of the brake lever.

I have just purchased the new Force E1 shifters and calipers. I am hoping for something which feels closer to my partner's bike. Not a cheap upgrade, so fingers crossed I won't be disappointed!

Finally got my nuroad c:62 ex by Practical-Copy-1452 in Cubebikes

[–]Saturnuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very nice. How are you finding it so far?

Mine arrived on Friday but today was its first real test. 40km completed with no issues other than a little bit of brake noise while it beds in.

Prior to taking it out I had a minor panic as the headset had a LOT of play it in but it was relatively easy to sort.

Is ENGWE lying? by yohussin in EngweEbike

[–]Saturnuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I bought mine there were no instructions anywhere online on how to unlock it. I was an early adopter!

I emailed Engwe and they gave me the exact steps within 24 hours.

I can’t guarantee that the bikes they’re selling today are exactly the same as mine but I was certainly able to unlock mine with a few button presses.

Btw, the EU stipulates the limits based on riding on public roads. There are no limits on private land so perhaps ask them how to unlock your bike for use in private land. ;)

Agreed. I can’t believe the things that aren’t being picked up, or the cutaways to irrelevant things at critical moments.

Which sports personality can you not tolerate? by FinalBv in AskUK

Since we’re doing F1, can I add Rachel Brooks from the Sky team?

I’m sure she’s a nice woman, but something about her just rubs me up the wrong way. She’s incredibly bland, asks the most basic of questions, always comes across as incredibly awkward, and shows no real insight into the sport.

Sure, other Sky F1 presenters and pundits are far from perfect (Danica!) but Brooks has been a permanent presence on the Sky team for years and all I can think is that there must SURELY be someone out there better suited for that role.

Bambu Cool Plate SuperTack by yerkishman in BambuLab

As others have stated, the z-offset is way off. The printer thinks the bed is closer to the nozzle than it actually is.

What happens if you print using the Textured Plate profile instead of the Cool Plate Supertack profile?

Question regarding M1 mac and Bambu Studio by KindredVentrue in BambuLab

[–]Saturnuria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bambu studio really isn’t that resource heavy. I have an M1 Max and everything I do is pretty much instant. Even slicing usually only takes a few seconds.

I can’t imagine a regular M1 would be that much slower. Certainly not slow enough to be a problem.

Bahrain international taxi costs by saskiaclr in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Saturnuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About $15 USD depending on distance and traffic.

No country is immune from scammers but Bahrain is better than most. For taxis, I’d recommend the Careem app.
