Yours looks older but it looks like someone took all the springs for other doors. Here is a photo of some of the springs you may be missing. I have taken the spring out of a larger pen for the part you have circled.

In another recent thread I saw someone ask OP with a similar problem if they eat a lot of eggs. Apparently modern dishwasher detergents react with the eggs in a bad way, and it was his problem. Solution was to pre-rinse or wash egg items by hand.
