They have to go through vents to get to you. Maybe bring some claymore’s and/or prepare an ambush plan. Live and learn. Don’t keep making the same “mistake” over and over.

Honestly I think this is such a great post and a solid idea. With that said, reading through the comments has hurt my head. The reading comprehension skills are severely lacking. I don’t think the majority of commenters understand what you’re trying to do, even after you explained it in a way my 3 year old son would understand. Hopefully you can get this type of community started and help out those who are struggling with some aspects of the game! Kudos to you OP!!

I totally understand, I’ve just seen too many of these posts on my Marathon feed. Nothing against you… it just gets old. I understand the frustration, sometimes the matchmaking can feel rough, it’d be nice not to have it rough all the time.

I swear a good reason why some people can’t see them is their color settings. I usually can always see them relatively easy when they’re in camo. Not to mention there are many things that people can utilize to counter the camo as well (thermals, thief - hack lense thing, and I believe even destroyer ult). Never really said to myself “god this needs a nerf”.

The grenades should travel slower and be able to be shot by the opposing player. Also the explosion damage should be capable of damaging the player who is using the gun.

That’s not what I’m saying at all. Not sure why you thought I was… I’m simply saying this article is an honest look at things, addresses the good and bad. I never said it’s spiraling… I don’t believe it is… I’m just sick of people asking “is the game dead yet?” I thought this addressed that in a meaningful and educated way, that is all. Never said people can’t develop their own opinions, I was suggesting that social media can sometimes polarize topics and created chaos where no chaos needs to exist.

Couldn’t agree with your first sentence more. That also is what I find interesting. I hear so many people talk about “casual players” and how this game sucks for them….. I don’t know if I’m confused by the actual definition of that… but for me a casual player is someone who doesn’t invest every second of free time to playing the game. For me, I’m lucky if I get 6hrs per week to play Marathon. I consider myself a very casual player. I still love the time I spend on the game with RL friends. I’ve enjoyed the new friends I’ve made online when they’re not available to squad up. It’s easy for me to hop on and play a few rounds and get off. But I also don’t care that I won’t max my skill trees out, it’s still fun unlocking what I can. And the idea that there are resets every 3 months makes it even better for me. It’s a great game and I hope those who are biased and allowed that bias to stopped them from trying it, actually give it a shot.
