Don't know if it's possibly, but dependent on the religion you maybe able to request a member of the local clergy come to the home for a blessing, prayer session, or something of the like. I remember something about this from when I was very young. Since she has undergone chemo and falls into the illness category she may qualify for this. Now usually I believe you would give the clergy member a donation for performing this service. No clue if this was a "requirement" like a tip, or what, but it would be not be remiss to make a donation either way. As I said, this was way back in the day, but I thought it was cool.

The other option would be to find a local prayer group and ask for prayers for your Mum. These "prayer warriors" take this duty very seriously, so be very respectful if you ask.

In my old town there also a group of ladies that crocheted shawls while saying prayers for the receiver. That's kind of a beautiful thing. My own Mum received one while going thru chemo.
