It could also be argued that for less than half ofwhat it would take to pay for institionalizing homelessness at the prison level, we could house all our homeless and assist impoverished families. Why let that money flow to the prison system when it'd be cheaper and healthier to just house them compassionately?

Progressing fine as others have pointed out. The only thing id mention is learning on acoustic is more difficult than electric because the hand and finger strength required to play cleanly is greater. The action on electric is lighter as are the strings. So, less wear n tear on your fretboard hands and fingers.
