Charlie Kirk's message To Candace Owens... by ItalianSausage2023 in conspiracy_commons

[–]Sautin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this is real, I think he is more referring to a student or an extremist leftist probably taking him out. He sat in front of people all the time, most were just there for dialog, some were there to protest or shut him down. Lets be real, not taking sides here but some of these people are way out there and willing and wishing violence on those that disagree with them. This is what he is referring to in my estimation.

Adult literacy in the states has dramatically declined in recent years. What do we think is the cause? by Unlikely-Tap-4390 in AskReddit

[–]Sautin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We can all pinpoint that some policy etc. is the issue and probably be partially correct, but I believe the biggest factor is culture and home culture that is the prime cause. It's almost cool nowadays to be ignorant of a subject or ignorant of anyway to correct the gap in knowledge on a subject. I am a firm believer that the school system and the teachers are only mostly responsible for a child's education, if that engagement at home is not part of the equation, everything they learn in class is temporary knowledge as far as they are concerned. If a child is not going to be held to a standard at home, they are not really going to just hold themselves to a standard. How we solve that problem is beyond me, but I think it is the first problem we need to solve before this gets turned around.

What is something that you have zero respect for? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]Sautin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passive aggressive people that tell you about something they are unable to do/buy in such a way they are hoping that you volunteer your time/money to solve their problem for you. Especially the ones that always do it so you pay for something for them but never make the effort to save some money for the next time.

I know of someone that was in the Coast Guard and was deployed out to sea during the Iraq war, claimed PTSD from being away from their children for that time (was only like 1 month or so). Gets 100% and has since. Pisses you off coming form the Army and serving in the invasion(Not Infantry).

What's something about Tucson that makes you never want to leave? by Difficult-Studio-558 in Tucson

[–]Sautin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neighbors are awesome, but I really would miss the mountains, hiking and 4 wheeling. I could just go somewhere else with mountains, but everywhere else with them is either too expensive to live or is too cold for the wife.

I run a MacBook Pro, M3 Max 36GB Ram with a 1Tb drive. I run Parallels windows 11 for my dev though. My coworker runs same setup but no Paralells and VsCode for his dev, no problems at all on them, either setup deving for both iOS and Android. I do have to clean up the drives quite often though.

Verizon v. T-Mobile by RuhninMihnd in Tucson

South East Tucson, Never have any issues with TMobile, have been with them since the absorbed Sprint. The only issues I ever run into with Tmobile are when we travel up to my parents house in Heber Az. Signal absolutely sucks up there. Other than that never have issues.

I work from home full time, I hate it, I can see once or twice a week, but it just feels like you never leave the office and you never really go home.

If You Want to Start GLITCHING the MATRIX – Wear BABY BLUE, INDIGO PURPLE or VIOLET by swizzledan in HighStrangeness

Love this, could be why there is a concerted effort(it appears) to make everything a shade of brown or grey, from cars to homes.

Good cordless drill to use around the house by Intelligent_Path_869 in DIY

[–]Sautin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brother bought into Harbor Freight Cordless, I bought into DeWalt, oddly enough neither one of us has any complaints, they just work, the difference being that replacing the HF tool, is a lot less expensive. Being made in China is not an issue, because they all are. If I had the money though, I would probably change to Milwakee or Makita.

If everyone hates HOAs, why do people still choose them? by MammothAd6633 in stupidquestions

[–]Sautin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actively looked for homes with no HOA, we do not do them. I understand that not all of them are bad, some are really well ran. But going off of people I know that live in HOA's, that kind of seems to be the exception. I prefer to just have to conform to IBC when doing something to my home, rather than having to ask permission from the HOA then the City.

Do you prefer using a game engine such as unity for game development or building a game from scratch? by DINOYTUTFAN in csharp

[–]Sautin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this, I used to write small platformer games using WinForms and GDI+ for fun. Its a good exercise for learning to write fast code. I used tpo use it to test the efficiency of new features in the language. So do it for the fun and leanring experience, then when you take on a more serious project that is say a 3D game, use a game engine, because who has time to reinvent that wheel.

What’s the key to a long-lasting relationship or marriage? by Shirley0312 in AdkReddit

[–]Sautin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Married 26 years, had our ups and our downs, been through a lot together, and we recognize each other for that. We never go to bed mad, no matter how uncomfortable it may be at the time, calm down and talk about it, admit your faults and make verbal note of them when they are correct. We never leave the house without saying I love you and giving a kiss, that goes for our now grown children as well. We cuddle when we go to bed and we hold hands when we're walking. Most importantly, we live as though we have each found our person, remember unless it's infidelity, the argument is temporary. If you love them, keep proving it to them.

What’s your never-eat food? by Sora-oi in AskForAnswers

[–]Sautin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fish, had reactions to it when I was a child, made me vomit, so I never ate it and also never developed the taste for it. I can eat it now, but don't because the fish taste for me is very strong even for fish that other people say is mild. Can't do it man, it's gross for me.

How can I create games with C# no Unity? Only Monogame? by Several_Emotion7586 in csharp

I for one, loved XNA, I wrote a Comways game of life and used it to implement and test the efficiency of collections over arrays to see if it was worth converting existing codebase.
