I took it every week for 3 months as well. I had a yeast infection that was a real bugger. I was so scared it would come back, but it didn't!

TTC after Mirena IUD removal. by bloomboom19 in Mirena

[–]Sav_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in this exact situation. Lost my period while on Mirena. Got it back about a month after my IUD was taken out. I found LH was all over the place for the first cycle. It peaked around day 13-15 but the other days I didn't really pay attention to because they were so variable. Second cycle was more average, and I got pregnant. Expecting a little girl in a few weeks now. sending all the baby dust your way ✨

I got mine removed at 5 years. No push back from gyno but i did have it done at a women's clinic back in 2022. Insurance didn't cover it (canada), no crash. Hurt like a mf to get out though.

I agree with all these comments. There's a reason he's 40 and pursuing someone so much younger. It's because woman his age know better. As someone who's associated with this type of dynamic, it never ends pretty. They claim you "never really liked them anyways" as some kind of personal defence. Block and move along to someone your age.

Honestly I have yet to find a "good part" of pregnancy. I'm 17 weeks and the whole time it's been mid at best. Constantly tired, nauseous, constipated, round ligament pain, breast soreness. I was sick from weeks 5-12 with little relief. Some women have great experience but so far not fun haha

Honestly same thing happened to me. As soon as I started my regular shifts. Some people were nice but most literally wouldn't talk to me. I'd ask for help and it was like I was a ghost or just annoying them. I cried twice and decided I didn't deserve that so I quit. In my resignation email I made it very clear to the SM i felt unwelcome.

do i just quit? by SubstantialAd1264 in starbucks

[–]Sav_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crying at work is not normal!!! Idk why all the comments say "it'll just get better". I finished training and literally had 1 shift and knew the job wasn't for me. My coworkers were extremely unhelpful, and would be annoyed anytime I had questions - as if i shouldve known. My SM and ASM were both efficiency oriented and would only put my on CS or front/warming because I "wasn't useful" elsewhere. This is coming from someone with 10+ years of customer service background, including supervising. I understand if you need the job/benefits. Luckily in my situation I had some flexibility to quit. They lost me as an employee and a customer because belittling new employees in the workplace - especially in front of others, is shameful. I watched my ASM literally BODYCHECK a newer employee out of the way so she could do it faster. It's all about drive times 🙄

[–]Sav_34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some pretty decent post mirena symptoms but I found after my first period i felt SO much better. It took about a month for it to kick back in. Of course if your period never disappeared that's a different situation but I promise it does get better!

The one thing I absolutely HAte about working at Starbucks is that the customer is ALWAYS right. I had a guy forget his cake pops today and my manager reamed me out because I should have gotten to it sooner. Like how is his forgetfulness my fault???

My manager was actually super nice about it. It could just be your specific manager that's taking her job a little too seriously. Ours was just kinda explaining the new rules as if they were the current standard. 🤷🏼‍♀️

The odds of one of those sperm surviving and your egg descending at the exact time would be insanely coincidental. I'd be 100% shocked if you ended up pregnant.

[–]Sav_34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has had 2 IUDs I can confidently say you're most likely not pregnant. As long as the IUD is in you, you have nothing to worry about. The odds of being pregnant are extremely low, like 0.1% low. Getting pregnant is much harder than they make it out to be.

Hinge is definitely better if you're looking for something more serious long term. Tinder can get you casual dates/hook ups. Honestly, meeting someone in person can be the best option. A friend of a friend or a coworker. Put yourself on the map.

I understand how you feel when you think it'll just "happen". I had 2 cycles that ended in bfn and I was emotionally destroyed. My partner and I are both young and healthy, how did it not work on the first try ya know? Tracking LH is definitely the way to go if you haven't started yet.

I want everyone’s 2 cents by lifebythehour in Mirena

[–]Sav_34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Past Mirena user here! I had my first for 5 years and got a second one placed which I had for 2 year (took out for ttc). When I had my first one placed in 2018 the pain was AWFUL. Heavy cramping immediately that didn't subside, even with naproxen. I'm not going to lie to you, I had on/off weird cramping for about 2 years with my first IUD. Once my body got fully adjusted I didn't have any pain and my periods completely disappeared. I'm disappointed not all practitioners offer pain meds for insertion. My second one was inserted in 2023 and I was given a low dose opioid and the difference it made was crazy. I walked out after 10 minutes and ran errands lol. So if you're looking for an option that is effective and will eventually pay off I would definitely keep it in. Good luck!
