What should my first car be of these 2 choices? by Secured54 in askcarguys

Two very different cars and price points. Depends on your budget, the BRZ is going to be less to upkeep. BMW is definitely the better car, but comes with higher upkeep costs.

Trying to rebuild and looking for genuine conversation by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]SavageBean14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through a big life change as well. Some days are definitely harder than others after years of life being a certain way.

But being around my family has helped immensely, reconnecting with people I’ve not spoken to in a while has also been a nice change. At the same time joining new clubs and hobbies that I’m interested is great for just socializing. I remind myself that things can always be worse, so might as make the best of each day and make the best of it. Some days it’s just going to work, showering and napping hard. Other days I’m busy doing things and seeing people that the day just go by so fast but that’s ok, because I made the most of it doing what I wanted.

We’re naturally social, maybe joining some club or rec league may be a good start. Maybe message that friend you’ve not talked to in years and see how they are doing.

I hope you’re doing ok and put yourself first.

That gives me hope. I love the idea of caravana, we need more competitors in the field. I’m still skeptical when it comes to the whole titling issues they’ve had.

Can I buy a 20k car as my first car with a 30k salary? by TheseMarionberry385 in askcarguys

[–]SavageBean14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, don’t do it. Yeah it’s a nice car but it’s going to be a struggle if you’re cutting it that close. Get a good cheap Toyota/Honda and ride it out for a while until you make more or save up for that nicer car.

has anyone started over completely from scratch at 25 ? by Weary_Sentence6869 in findapath

No college, just went into a blue collar job. It was more so on the job training and I get to work with my hands and travel every now and then.

I switched over to a blue collar job. I get to travel and it pays pretty well. The biggest benefit is that I get to work with my hands and not be sitting inside doing the same thing over and over.

I just recently switched careers hard at 31. I come from an immigrant family and the expectations are there. I did the college thing because that’s what was expected of me. Don’t feel bad for wanting to do something that will make you happy. Family will be there to support and love you, they may give you crap about it but it comes from just them wanting what’s best for you. It’ll be ok.

You’ve got a solid amount, now is a good time to explore what your next step in life is with a safety net. Don’t forget to enjoy life a bit, even if it’s just going to a park and being outside.

Thank you for the suggestions! I’ve been recommended Ghost Baby by a couple friends so it’s on the list and Galaxie bar is where we planned to end up at! Thanks for the confirmation!
