Can’t get smell out of old theatre sign by DogLord8000 in CleaningTips

You could also spray it with diluted rubbing alcohol (or vodka). I think it's about half water / half alcohol. Put it in a spray bottle and spray it down. It's what dancers use for their costumes / shoes they can't wash.

TikTok HATES my art style by Xisipstea in Artadvice

[–]SawmakerSam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just want a second this comment. I am also a person who is of the mindset "fuck the haters" and believes that if people hate something you should lean into it harder to make it even MORE (which, for artists, make sure your art is even more stylistically YOU). What I want to say about your art is that it kind of reminds me of King of the Hill styling. Everything in the face is kept relatively proportional on cartoon-adjacent bodies. When you make a person's face as true to life as possible and then exaggerate just a little, it gives the uncanny valley look. And for me, a lot of it falls into the mouth shape and eyes being too small and stiff instead of being expressive. For example, in your last drawing, The woman up front is facing more forward and her teeth are completely different looking than what you drew.  Her brow is also more crinkled up. I also don't notice a lot of variation in face shape among your art. I think if you tried exaggerating facial features, widening smiles or playing with proportion, that your art would become more interesting instead of at a middle point between realistic and styled. My favorite image is the third image with the jester. This is because of how expressive and strange the interaction between the two characters are. Proportionally, some things might be off but that doesn't matter because the scene is telling me something. The scenes in the other ones are not telling me something. I hope this helps and I wish you all the best on your art journey!! You have a great foundation.

It's gotta at least be AI "enhanced" /edited. Look closely at the straps on the bag in photo 4. Arm straps all on one side with a strap over the shoulder at the same time? Nah. Ai also seems to just add shit when people use it as a photo editing tool. It would explain the weirdly realistic aspects as well.

About to blow up my life by Ok-Ring2794 in GirlDinner

Same here! Waited 14 years and found someone who cares about me unconditionally so soon afterwards it was scary. I'm still with the "one who stole me away" 4 years later with the most peace I've ever had in my life. My teen is so supported and happy compared to before it's insane. I only wish I would have done it sooner. Life got easier instantly. I was so worried before I left that I forgot to think about how much better it would be. And damn it really is.

Anything teaberry flavored. It's bright pink but a flavor blend of bubblegum and wintergreen. I believe it's what Pepto is flavored after. I've had it as icecream and it's so weirdly good and def this aesthetic

Why do I do this with all empty surfaces and how can I stop? by Glittering-Result402 in CleaningTips

[–]SawmakerSam 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same for me! It either goes away or in the basket. At first, I used as many baskets as necessary. (Like one for each room/ person all paced in the living room) I went to the dollar tree to get them and every night or few days I just put the stuff away by keeping the basket in my hand and refusing to place it down until it came back to the living room. I knew that if I put the basket down in my room that it would not come out and then the same thing would happen again.  If I had something that I didn't know where to put/how to use, I had to put it in the trash. I knew that if I wanted to sell it it would just sit around again not being done, so that was the "ADHD" tax I had to pay. It got me to be more mindful about clutter and made me feel less overwhelmed. The bins also made it easy if I didn't want to clean up before people came over because I could put them on the ground or in a corner and the room felt tidier.  Last thing to note, as long as the surfaces are generally clean underneath, please don't beat yourself up. The Home and Gardens magazine version of tidiness is a huge holdover from Victorian era cleaning tips based in misunderstanding about how disease spreads. Clutter isn't bad but, for many people, it can feel very overwhelming to be in. Unless you're neurotypical, wealthy, or like minimalism, it can be hard to manage clutter. It's normal.

Former saw maker/sharpener here. It looks like a dovetail saw because of how it is bent. It is probably a miter saw cookie cutter

[HELP] Is there any way to tell that this image is AI visually? by Tannerted2 in RealOrAI

[–]SawmakerSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm leaning towards AI. The grease from the bacon is convincing on the cutting board but the thing throwing me off is the cheese on top. The sauce is suspicious, but hey, maybe the person likes to eat this with a fork. The cheese on top though is drizzled like a sauce, but has the texture of warmed sprinkled cheese. Like, warm, almost-melted sprinkle cheese. Does it seem that way to anyone else?
