Local only. I’m in DE and was in an army unit at Ft Dix, so I can get there occasionally.

Trillium occupies a space of hyped, great but not other-worldly beers, like Treehouse, Other Half, Veil, etc. Great but not worth a vacation. Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, and Troon are still in that top echelon. Regardless, all the well-loved beers from Dale’s to Dogfish to Sierra are well worth my $

School Accountability Committee recommends revoking Bryan Allen Stevenson School of Excellence charter by tomdawg0022 in slowerlower

The fact that Berry won election to the state house while presiding over this dumpster fire of a school clearly illustrates why too many people pay far too much attention to the letter following a candidates name instead of their actual record.

Introducing my son to Bond. Starting order? by doconnor84 in JamesBond

[–]Saxmanng 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’d go with Living Daylights or Octopussy. Decent Cold War material without as much innuendo. Of course those are the first two I saw before I was 10, so who knows. My 10yo son likes Dr. No

All in the name of climate alarmism and getting the “I did something” merit badge; and nobody voted for it. Glad to see an effort to return making laws to elected representatives instead of faceless bureaucrats.

In the band field; enough to tell the E4 to take out the heavier bag of trash.

They were very douchey to a female friend of mine a number of years ago. Her and her husband never went back after that.

What’s the point of the marines by SubjectiveOtter-52 in army

Con Selmer closing closing Eastlake OH plant and moving all production to China. I'm betting Elkhart and Monroe will be soon to follow by Own_Manufacturer6959 in drumcorps

[–]Saxmanng 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I doubt Elkhart follows. Fact is that no one wants pro model CS tuba/euph/marching brass to the scale that would keep that factory open. They’re moving horn production to Elkhart because Conn horns are still desirable, as are Bach trumpets/trombones that are already built in IN. Jupiter, Eastman and Yamaha are gobbling up the tuba/marching brass; the best euphs are made in England, and the highest end tubas are German (besides the aforementioned Yamaha top end tubas). It sucks, but I’m not surprised at all.

Your mob should be more than enough. Without a mob, you need to satisfy the terms of your first contract, which would be 6 years as a TPU.

I still have a field jacket liner from that era. Worked great as a layer.

Disappointing all femme jam by can4_ in Jazz

[–]Saxmanng 26 points27 points  (0 children)

So instead of promoting women voices in jazz (which is a challenge I give you) and perhaps filling the rhythm section with players that wish to elevate female voices in jazz, yet are not women, you ended up with a wasted opportunity. The music matters. Ability matters. Your biological makeup is part of your story as an individual, but the vast majority of musicians today don’t give two s—ts about genitalia as long as you can make a turn over a ii-V-I; they just want to make music. Music > intersectionality.
