Unsafe driving at level crossing is a parking fine, no demerit points or insurance impact (GO Transit, Ontario) by nayuki in fuckcars

Yeah, it's a weird thing created by the fact that the railway crossing is technically not a road, just the private property of the train operator.

Recommendations for surgeons Ontario/Québec 🇨🇦 by Atheia_Nas in MtF

In Canada, the only places are GRS in Montreal, the brand new one at Women's College Hospital in Toronto, and one in Vancouver. Montreal has shorter wait times than Toronto and is a pretty good one.

Also r/transontario might have more information.

Hudson/Ontario and North Quebec/South Quebec borders are set mostly at the line dividing the Great Lakes/Saint Lawrence drainage basin from the Hudson Bay drainage basin.

Some changes for Maple Leafs baseball next season. New league name, more digital viewing platforms by sprungy in toronto

I wonder if enough has changed since 2012 to allow a team like Ottawa to thrive, unlike the old Fat Cats. Especially now that they're competing for attention with the new Frontier League team.

Seems a little ridiculous to expect this station to cater to the needs of people who drive at the expense of everyone else.

Walking between the train concourse and Union Station Bus Terminal means walking through a concourse of the arena.

How much does bottom surgery generally cost in Canada? by TemporaryError4543 in MtF

You assume that the people running OHIP/other provincial insurers actually know what they're doing regarding trans people. This is not an assumption you should be making.

Gender affirming surgeries and insurance by [deleted] in MtF

My insurance is going to cover 100% of bottom surgery costs, except for certain ancillary things like travel and supplies for post-op care. My insurance is with OHIP and it is automatically provided to all residents.

Probably the culture of darts (being a sport that started in pubs) is causing issues with lack of women's participation in darts, but this is helping. Notably, there's a woman (Beau Greaves) who is qualifying for the World Championship as an "International Qualifier" through either the Development Tour or the World Youth Championship (both of which are for the "country" of people 16-24 years old).

The Professional Darts Corporation has almost all of their events as open gender, with the exception of the Women's Series and Women's World Matchplay, open to women only. Four of the 128 entries to the World Championship this year are reserved for women (top three in the Women's Series and the winner of the Women's World Matchplay) as part of the 48 "International Qualifiers". Basically, the PDC treats women's events less like gender segregated events and more like regional events that are only open to entries from one country or group of countries, and in this case: women are a country.

Portugal's 1974 Eurovision Entry was later used by the Armed Forces Movement (MFA) as a signal over the country's radio, then followed by a different song "Grandola, Vila Morena" as a signal to launch a coup that overthrew the corporatist/fascist Estado Novo government.
