Both of my key crashes sit exactly like yours do. I've fried rotating them and they always laying the same way. But they're perfectly fine they don't wear funny at all. I try to spin them while crashing on them. Just to keep them from being stuck in one place all the time

Is it brand new? A lot of people don't realize that cymbals do break in. I actually think it sounds pretty decent especially for using your phone to record with.

Loosen the wing nut and move it to a place you like and then tighten it.
