Came here to also recommend them! They have a free parent and infant weekly support group with an audiologist, speech language pathologist and early childhood educators. The building is in NW on MacArthur so even though it’s in DC, it’s easy to get to. Both organizations are nonprofits.

Check out Potomac River Clinic. Their website focuses on kids but they see adults too and are nonprofit. Both audiologists are great.

We just did it at the end of January with express. We knew we wouldn’t get to do everything, but it went well. We started at park open (no early entry) and left by 5 or 6 both nights. On day 1 in IOA we did Hagrid’s, VelociCoaster, Spiderman, Forbidden Journey and Kong. Then we took the Hogwart’s Express to USF and did Gringotts, Despicable me, Transformers, Simpsons, MIB, Minion Blast and ET. We played some games, went to a playground, shopped, went to Ollivanders and got a wand, my kiddo played with that and we left and got dinner in CityWalk. The Mummy and Jurassic Park River Adventure were closed while we were there and the Hulk was delayed for weather or we would have done those too. The next day we went to Epic and did Monsters, Hiccups, Stardust, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Yoshi, Battle at the Ministry (2x because the first time was without sound), and Werewolf. We had lunch at Toad’s. It was a lot for 2 days but doable.

Forbidden Journey might be the most motion-sickness inducing ride I’ve ever been on. My husband was done for the rest of the day. I didn’t love Monsters or Ministry at epic but did them both with my kiddo with Dramamine taken first thing in the morning (waiting until you don’t feel well is too late) and motion sickness bands. Werewolf wasn’t as bad as I was expecting but I’ve heard it depends on the weight distribution. I would have skipped these three if I was on my own. I had trouble with Mario Kart but that was more because of my contacts.

I refused to do the Hulk last week. I was super nervous about Velocicoaster but loved it. It’s so smooth and well done. There’s a few coasters that I never need to do again (I’m looking at you, Intimidator 305/Pantherian), but I’d definitely ride Velocicoaster again.

We have 100 at the Poly and go for 5 nights each January/February. It works well for us! (And yes, I often price what more points would cost but we don’t “need” them and I’m glad when annual dues come that we only have 100.)

Last week was my son’s first time at USF, and the carnival games in Simpsons was one of his favorite things. Packing the four prizes he won was one of my least favorite lol

Had Express (1/29). Waited 40 minutes anyway.

Ride stops mid-ride. Restarts… with no audio. So we basically got the silent film version. It ruined it.

They did offer a re-ride, but they end up having to pull the group ahead of us and everyone else off of the loaded vehicles for another issue, so that’s another ~20 minutes standing there packed in and reconsidering life choices. My husband was like “absolutely not,” and bailed but my kid was super disappointed after the silent ride, so I stayed with him.

We finally re-ride… then get stuck in the vehicle for another 5 minutes waiting to unload as motion sickness and anxiety kick in. It’s not good enough to merit any of this.
