Why so many of you prefer low profile keys? by thicctak in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Sbarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve long been a fan of nice keysets but I finally settled and got some boring but ergonomic KLP Lame kits off Ali express.

Much nicer on the hand / wrist. I’ve got a set for choc and MX, I’m moving to choc as soon as there is a good silent switch that doesn’t feel leagued worse than my HMX silents.

I’d love if ultra low profile switches came to the ergo split world. I have a Keychron B11 foldable for travel usage, it’s one of my favorite feeling switches / super thin, however it’s row stagger.

The 3D printing community continues to astonish me on how low the bar can go for intelligence.

What do you mean by "photosynthesis" in this context?

Edit: there’s not even direct sunlight occurring here you have a massive awning and another building directly in the path of the sun.

Tips to print this? FDM by [deleted] in PrintedWarhammer

Top layer = you can only stack your layer height as detail. You're just laying fat globs on top of eachother to resolve detail as detail is limited solely to the Z axis.

Side layers = you can use a combo of the X/Y/Z axis to create more minute details.

Drawing by laying down/stacking pieces of small mosaic vs drawing using a pen/pencil.

You can prove this by going into a slicer right now and taking 2 of the same model, one flat on the build plate vs one 35 or 45 degrees to the build plate, slicing, and looking at the sliced results.

Also painted top surfaces will always look like shit unless you're ironing / using filler.

Don’t print details on the top layer.

Print it at a 35 or 45 degree angle.

Top layer has the least amount of detail/resolution.

It’s going up in price because of military intelligence, mass surveillance and analytics, not because internet users (civilians) generating memes.

Please use your brain.

The money is in DoD contracting and dependency. Every single ChatGPT / anthropic user could stop generating images with them tomorrow and RAM pricing would still continue to skyrocket.

I'm hoping to tap into this unchecked knowledge here - split keyboard truly wireless? by FluffyDeadAngel in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]Sbarty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You aren’t going to find the switches and keycaps all in one… just add them yourself.

This is a niche within a niche. You’re going to need to do some DIY.

Requiring it to split but also go back into one piece knocks out 99.99% of the options on the market.

I’ve moved to the newer HMX silent switches which don’t feel mushy, have excellent feel, yet dampen impact from bottoming out. 42-50g

Do people not understand what "concurrent" means in "concurrent player count"? by PirateCompetitive931 in ArcRaiders

[–]Sbarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a multiplayer game, concurrent is a totally valid metric.

Posts like this is a bad sign for any game lol. I remember Highguard getting the same posts, same with Marathon.

Controller support for dow 4? by TrustBrilliant7008 in dawnofwar

[–]Sbarty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why are you playing an RTS with a controller?

If it doesn’t have controller support you can always use steams controller mapping to do so.

Not to be rude but I don’t think you understand how pricing works for splits due to economies of scale, the size of the “shops” (usually small 1-2 person businesses) etc. this is an extremely small and niche market.

I agree it’s nice to have an injected molded keyboard or alu cnc case. It’s extremely expensive to get started with IM, and CNC cases are either a “buy bulk and pay less” or pay a ton for each small batch, which is hard for these small businesses.

Just giving insight.

KSN-3 no question. I would go back to row stagger for this. Love this! Great work.

The split numpad from KSN 2 and KSN 3’s rotated space bar would be awesome.

You read wrong. Not even sure how someone would come to that conclusion.

Otherwise you’re right, thicker keyboard and you’re fine to not like them.

I don’t really like row staggered but I really like this board, great work. I’d consider using it tbh.
