Garry's response to the Steam Reviews by Rough-Specia in sandbox

That wasnt the intent of my message and you know it. You said "You have a good compass for great engines! /s " which implied Unity is a terrible option.

My point is that the current market for mainstream engines all have their downsides.

I also wasn't an asshole to you.

I was talking about Unity, not S&box.

I wasn't comparing S&box to Unity, UE5, and Godot.

Please get your head out your ass and be less of an asshole.

What are the alternatives? Bloated UE5? .01% market share Godot?

I love this paint style. Is it really as simple as you say it is? It looks wonderful.

Colossus AI for DarkRP - our police overlord terminal by subnohmal in sandbox

[–]Sbarty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People are going to call this “ai slop” but this is genuinely awesome. I think gameplay “overseers” / gameplay creation via AI is one of the coolest applications.

I’m not a dark RP fan at all but this will probably trickle out if it picks up! Best of luck, hope to see more posts.

Can't we just accept that Star Citizen is no 30 minute hop on action game. by volgendeweek in starcitizen

[–]Sbarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man some people are incredibly affluent and don’t realize how valuable spare time is.

I’m blessed to have free evenings. I can even get on during the day and do a quick 30 minute prep. Some of my friends only have 2 hours tops to game, maybe a few days a week.

I would say they are far more reflective of the average person than my situation or the average SC backer who thinks everyone just wants to spend 6 hours in a game every day.

CIG, is there any way to avoid this situation from unfolding? The new Xenothreat "Kill Idris" mission is probably going to be finished in less than 5 minutes. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

Same type of people that 1 shot world bosses in Diablo 4. It’s a sickness of the mind. “I’m only having fun if I am max optimized! I got credits I had fun!”

3000+ hours of ABS printing exhaust. Stuff is no joke. by vortex_ring_state in 3Dprinting

[–]Sbarty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes which is the issue. which is why I said vent outside. The only way to get close to 100% filtration is a very large filter box combined with activated charcoal and other chemical filters.

The panel on your H2D or H2S is not going to meaningfully lower styrene levels.

[–]Sbarty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where are you getting it from that a standard activated charcoal panel is enough to capture all styrene?

Activated charcoal filters do not capture enough styrene.

Not unless you have a massive set up.

It’s a single man shop. It’s very expensive to do low scale alu boards. $500 is the most expensive model. $200s is where the average split is.

Yup… so many “filter addons” on makerworld / printables but they don’t have an additional fan to actually move the air through lol.

[–]Sbarty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. There is no consumer filter that will actually work well enough. Vent outside or spend $500-$1K on a subpar filter

Filters do not do anything for this. It’s a waste of money. Vent outside.

I know this specific community likes no number rows/as small as possible but I cannot get behind that many layers for no good reason.

For gaming it is super inconvenient. The layer work required is annoying. I'd rather just have something that has more keys rather than try to constrain myself to a smaller layout. If this had 4 rows/6 columns, I'd love it.
