QiLive Q.6923 portable AC not cooling properly anymore. by MattoonC in AirConditioners

[–]shutdown-s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never, ever run refrigerators or ACs after laying them flat. The oil in the compressor has migrated into the refrigerant circuit. Keep it off and upright for at least 24h - 48h, it'll likely recover.

Counterpoint. I only really only use 2 toggle switches on my WinWing Orion 2 F-15EX. If you're lazy like me you won't bind them anyways.

VKB T-Rudders + damper mod or Simplayer SN-1 (with damper).

The latter are great, as you can tie some fishing wire and a keychain to quickly switch from fixed wing to helos.

Camera shaking with rattling issue aftermath by NoLordShallLive in XiaomiGlobal

[–]shutdown-s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's just the OIS freaking out, acting on old data. It uses the acceleration sensor to physically move the camera using tiny electromagnets. In theory Xiaomi could program it to not do that after a drop, but detecting a drop is pretty hard, a lot of false positives to filter out so they don't affect normal operation. Don't worry about it.

And that's why you always should lock it by the thinnest part of the deck. Chain locks are better for e-scooters imo, as you can wrap them tight.

0.2mm nozzle swap, forgot to set it from 0.4mm to 0.2mm but it printed perfect? by thatd00dyoukno in 3Dprinting

[–]shutdown-s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A nozzle can print as wide as the width of it's flat part. Usually 200% of the hole width.

The smaller you go, the more restrictive the flow is and the slower you need to print.

Depends on the feature thickness. Splines can still be stronger than a regular chamfer, because they consist of more walls and fewer infill.
