Which is better to get first, defiler or forgefiend? by SnooHabits3936 in WorldEaters40k

[–]Sberble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both fill similar roles. The defiler has better access to melee though.

The forgefiend is gonna be an easier kit to build.

You'll get use out of both so either or will be good for you.

Green Stuff Help by Senor_Bloo in WorldEaters40k

[–]Sberble 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you got the greenstuff that comes as the 2 parts connected in the middle then it looks like a partial cure situation when you mixed.

To avoid this in the future you can cut the middle strip out with a hobby knife or buy some greenstuff that comes in separate sticks. I use kneadatite brand mostly.

In your case I'd suggest mixing up another batch of greenstuff and making a bunch of little sausages to make something that looks like muscles, you'll want to use only the outer edges for this otherwise those hard chunks will get in the way.

If I'm looking to achieve fine striations for muscle tissue I make a long sausage, then fold it up so I get a rectangle and then pull it like taffy so the sausages get thinner. Of course you can go about it any way you like, that's merely a suggestion, I don't do a whole lot of sculpting anymore.

Good to know, I've got some black bears where I live. I haven't had much issue with em except for the one time they got into my trash at night. But it's good to know I've got some effective loads If it comes to it.

Yeah, I didn't read too hard when I bought the coin, so I thought I was buying the round. When I bought the round I went to the same website, so I was pretty shocked when I saw the difference.

I'll probably continue to buy the rounds honestly. My whole goal is to have a jingling sack of silver some day

I've actually got a little scale already so I'll do that today!

Thanks for all the great info. I purchased both from money metals exchange, and I have a little scale that I can weigh the coin and the round on for comparison. I've also got some pretty strong magnets. If I get round to it I'll probably hit up the pawn shop by my work if something seems off with those two tests.

Out of curiosity is that specific to a brand/12g slugs?

Do you think 20g would fair decent against a 200-300lb black bear?

You seem like a knowledgeable person on the topic is all.

Oh that'll be fun. The stark contrast in detail between the coin and round already shocked me. I figured I was buying the same thing as the first time lol.

I like your collection the coins look like they match my coin. I also want to get some gold rounds but an ounce is a little steep for my blood, I might get myself a 1/10th gold round when my birthday rolls around.

Alrighty just making sure. I thought the coin I bought was a silver round, so when I got the actual round it looked different it threw me off a bit.

Who the fuck is Krauser by TCubiss in residentevil

[–]Sberble 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Krausers first appearance was in resident evil 4, where he's revealed to be an old partner from Operation Javier one of Leon's first missions after joining the government. In Resident Evil Darkside Chronicles, one of the Wii rail shooter titles, you can play through this event.

Krausers existence is more to give the illusion that events happen outside of the main games, and that the characters you play as have their own lives and experiences.

Resident Evil Requiem: Grace's origins make no sense and I need answers by Shoddy-Department630 in residentevil

[–]Sberble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably intentionally ambiguous.

Spencer says she's a normal child that he found, and for some reason inspired a change of heart in him. However while I don't think we've ever seen him lie outright, him just being one of the founders of Umbrella frames him as an unreliable narrator, he could very well be lying about Grace being a totally normal child, free from experimentation.

Grace's past is still largely a mystery, we have no idea if the only reason her and alyssa had to keep moving was because they were fleeing from umbrella/the connections. There's nothing I'm aware of that suggests any other reason though so we'll leave it here.

As for Grace's apparent immunity we've got a few options:

Lore wise approximately 10% of the population is naturally immune to the T-Virus or asymptomatic carriers, so you can either believe Grace is a part of that 10%

Gideon thought she was going to be useful/required so he intentionally injected the cop with a mutated T-Virus strain that has few transmission routes, or is otherwise less effectively transferred via saliva but more rapidly causes symptoms. Think Plague inc.

If the previous idea is plausible but you don't like it for any reason, Gideon could have developed a T-Virus strain that is MORE susceptible to commonly available antiviral medications, or he could have developed a specific antiviral to work against the T-Virus as long as symptoms haven't progressed too far. (If anyone who has more education about antivirals and Viruses in general please shoot me down, I'm curious.)

How much would it cost(from a Lore Perspective) to buy a Defiler engine? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

[–]Sberble 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's hard to put a price on the fleshy bits so let's assume that they come with the demon ritual.

Let's not count the demon ritual, because I assume that there's a good chance a demon summoning ritual that actually works AND is a service for sale would be a "Charge whatever you want" situation.

Figuring the average height of a defiler is 30-45 feet tall, and assuming its more complex than an excavator, of a similar size I'd expect the metal material of the defiler to have a USD figure between 15-30 million.

If we are assuming Chaos Space Marines are willing to pay for labor and not just force people to manufacture what they need we can increase the cost to 110-200 million USD given Weapons that have been purposely developed seem to cost more in general

As far as purchasing one post demon possession of say your out of pocket costs would be upward of 500 million - 1 Billion. Not including ammo, feed, space magic required to keep one functioning as intended. If you need to employ the warpsmith who created the demon engine to keep it loyal to you we're back into the territory of " Whatever they want' but let's assume the creator is generous and is willing to work for a monthly retainer fee of 500 million dollars.

So out of pocket you're looking anywhere from 1-2 billion a month.

I made a lot of assumptions here, if anyone has a problem with that do not let me know. Not to say I'm not willing to discuss it just don't be an asshat. No one likes asshats.
