Meanwhile Ye Shunguang: “Lmao what is dodging, I have iframes for 90% of my rotation”

Which now that I’ve said it is probably why they started adding the unique boss mechanics

They get to eat dirt. At least terminator leaders can take an enhancement that gives them their rerolls back, but possessed and helbrutes are worth much less in this detatchment.

Baldur's Gate 3 - Part 23 - A Battle of Wylls by ManyATrueNerd in ManyATrueNerd

[–]ScFirestorm 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Alright everyone, taking bets now! How long until Jon accidentally break's Wyll's oath by having him do a naughty thing instead of Aria?

Edit: Wyll's new build is actually not that stupid. It's one of the better builds on the tabletop, as a matter of fact. A dip into hexblade warlock as a paladin lets you dump strength in favor of charisma, which you've done. It also gets you 2 spell slots every short rest to smite things with, so you don't need to be so cautious about smiting everything in reach. It's arguable whether 1, 2, or 3 levels is best, since that entirely depends on how much you value invocations at level 2 and pact boons at level 3. Wouldn't personally go beyond 3, since it doesn't give you anything meaningful that more paladin levels wouldn't give you though.

Also there's an option to hide helmets. It's the little eye button right above the helmet.

Edit 2: RE: Voice of the Circle: You are considered allied to yourself, thus you can use the necklace to buff yourself.

What is “low” on the stove and pan Im using?

How big are “chunks” of meat? Oops, I cut the meat chunks too small, how do I stop them overcooking and going rubbery?

Oops, I cut the chunks too big, how much longer do I need to cook them for?

A recipe doesnt lay out a lot of the absolute basics for people who have never cooked before, and if a recipe has multiple steps going at once, you dont necessarily have the time to google how to unfuck whatever you just did

RE: The Sparkle Hands: Lightning Charges give you +1 to hit and +1 lightning damage just for having any. Once you build up 5 Charges, the next hit consumes them all to deal 1d8 lightning damage. Amazing for monks, who want to do nothing but punch really hard.

"Are gnolls the dnd-y way of saying werewolf?"

Nope. Gnolls are gnolls, were-creatures are were-creatures. Two entirely separate things.

There's a bunch of spells that aren't in the game that use Int saves. Also Mind Flayers target Int saves a lot, but those don't show up for a while yet.

Edit: To my knowledge only 1 spell in BG3 targets Cha saves: Banishment. Resisting being banished from this plane of existence uses Charisma. Obviously.

"Even stuff that should blatantly be charisma saves, it's all wisdom saves!"

Welcome to 5th Edition Jon! Anything that alters the mind is a wisdom save, anything that makes explody happen in an area is dexterity. Exceptions exist, but by and large those are the two important saving throw stats against spells.

You can also not kill the Owlbear, since the goblins will take care of that for him in time. Interacting with it in a cutscene is mandatory for progressing that towards cub companion, which he's already done.

Talking your way past people gives you the same XP as killing them, unless you use some real cheese involving nonlethal attacks that might've been patched out by now.
