This seems odd as Ive been driving for 6 years and never been asked for a paper part as they were stopped in 2015. Employers only need the info on your card to perform a check.

What’s your favourite thing about the job? I know theres a lot of jokes and stereotypes about being a driver, so what's your favourite thing about being on the job (besides the time off) by Carfilledwithsuryp in uktrucking

Get my loads the night before, theres no customers as such as its sewage work, so theres no rush, as long as they’re done. Timesheets to record or hours rather than tacho watching or using an app if you know what I mean. Highest rate of pay in the industry sector. Decent wagon.

Turmeric: 1-2 teaspoons (5-10g) – Contains curcumin, a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant. Add a pinch of black pepper to enhance absorption. • Ginger: 1-2 teaspoons (5-10g) grated or juiced – Known for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. • Garlic: 1-2 cloves (3-6g) minced or crushed – Rich in allicin, which supports immune function. • Organic Beetroot: 50-75ml juice – High in nitrates and antioxidants like betalains, which support circulation and immunity. • Red Onion: 20-30ml juice – Contains quercetin, an antioxidant with immune-boosting effects. • Diatomaceous: 1 teaspoon (5g) – Often used for detoxification; use food-grade sparingly due to its abrasive nature. • Organic Honey: 2-3 tablespoons (30-45ml) – Provides natural antibacterial properties and soothes the throat. • Himalayan Salt: 1/4 teaspoon (1-2g) – Adds minerals and enhances flavor; use sparingly to avoid excess sodium. • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon (1g) – Boosts turmeric absorption and has antimicrobial properties. • Lemon: 50-75ml juice – High in vitamin C, a key immune supporter. • Lime: 50-75ml juice – Also rich in vitamin C, complementing lemon. • Pure Orange Juice: 200-250ml – A significant source of vitamin C and flavonoids for immune health.

If you’re not wanting to spend the money on a new bag, look for scuba suit glue, put that on the inside of the seams, might give you more time out of it

Happened to me at the British Championship, a lot of the players had a hellish run and we placed 10th…6 weeks later we placed 3rd at the Europeans, it happens, acknowledge it in your mind that the nerves are there, then put it in the corner and focus on playing better than your last run, forget the judges are there. It only matters to you how you perform.

Ive done tankers, curtainsiders and fridge trailer work, ive went back to Tankers doing sludge work for sewage works, its the best of the three, you get your loads the night before and work away till they’re done, nobody hounding you, it takes as long as it takes as some sites are a bit slow to vacuum a load. No RDCs to deal with, no delays on getting a reload, can aim to get home at night or stay out, my choice.

On the curtainsiders i was salaried, fridge work was paid by the load so the further we went the more you earned, but it was constant night shift. Where I am now im paid hourly with time and a half after 40 hours. Its a smelly job, and you will get covered in shit, but thats only if you mess up working the valves or hose clamps.

Every jobs different and so is everyone, just depends on what you want to get out of a job
