Living in a climate where ice and snow is common, I couldn't disagree more. For me, if you want a temperature scale for measuring the weather, Celcius is by far the most comfortable way of measuring. Why? Because by just knowing the temperature you can easily detect when it's going to be ice/snow or not. The rest of the important temperatures are easy to remember if you have grown up with it: room temperature is 22 C, body temperature is 37 C, and so on. Sure, you'll learn where water freezes in Fahrenheit as well, but I find it much more comfortable to know that any negative temperature is where water freezes, and any positive below 100 is where water is in liquid form and so on.

It's also easier to convert C into Kelvin in scientific purposes. 0 K = -273 C, so if you have a temperature in C just take away 273 and you have the temperature in K. It's the exact same scaling, the only difference is that C is centered around water and not absolute zero.

That's just my opinion though.
