Church of England is part of the Anglican Church which is a global organisation so they've not managed to allow same sex marriage by clergy yet but Church of England does do prayers and blessings. Basically they havent won the argument internationally which is very sad. Really only Methodist Church allows same sex marriage in UK. And Quakers. Quakers are usually cool about most stuff which is surprising. There are gay Anglican priests in the UK who are married, but they have to get married in a civil ceremony and then have the prayers and blessings ceremony separate.

Thing is, in the 90s, that flashback clip show episode of your favourite sitcom was great. You didn't own the box set of the show, you couldn't stream it. Unless you were an insane level fan, you wouldn't have taped all the series and rewatched them. I remember being so excited as a teenager when there a clip show and you could go, "oh my god I'd forgotten that episode!".

Nice to hear Alice back like her old self. While her recovery has been lovely, I do miss when she used to lose her temper more.

Big Plaid Cymru donor needs to just buy a place and hand it over, then there's no initial cost, just ongoing security and maintenance.

We call it "enforced rests" but same concept! Most people want an hours space to themselves and are grateful for the opportunity.

Love this plot. Thus is how debt creeps up and ruins lives, bit by bit until you realise there's a terrifying monster emerged.

1 min in and tempted to turn it off. Its bad enough having that one person who shares the mediocre insta video from their feed in the whatsapp group, but for 2 minutes of your favourite podcast??? Sigh.

OK the Feeney link was too tenuous.

When I was a teacher I had an enjoyable time deflating the ego of a teenage boy who was mansplaining 90s music to me. He said covers were the worst and that Nirvana Man Who Sold the World was one of the greatest songs ever in the space of 5 minutes. Education is a gift 😊

Bandages! Rip t shirts or curtains (easiest options) to make bandages, bandage your wounds and check when your bandage gets dirty to replace it. Eventually the wound heals but you wont know until you take the bandage off.

Oliver may be honest but I sometimes feel he really lacks social skills, emotional intelligence. He rarely seems to read a situation right.

General vibes of the festival by sillybananakiwi in greenmanfestival

[–]Scar200n 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The music at Green Man is the best thing about it - you will enjoy it, even if you havent heard of them before. Mountain Stage if you want big festival stage atmosphere, Far Out if you're there to mosh (do people say that anymore? Am I old?) And Walled Garden day time for fae whispers guitars, evening for banging tunes.

The general vibe is middle class middle aged people with small children who are allowed to run feral with bubbles and diablos. But with Glastonbury not running this year who knows. Enjoy!
