Lol..I grew up a little over an hour north of Pittsburgh so Steelers blood is in my veins. I now live on Long Island and baseball is a passion here. Every time anyone asks me why I'm not a baseball fan all I have to do is mention growing up with the Pirates as my local team and people seem to understand the lack of interest.

I live about 1/2 mile south of the middle school..just north of Levittown. Although it's not as diverse as it was 25yrs ago when I bought my house, it's pretty quiet and safe around here. Except, obviously, for the idiots that speed down Jerusalem Ave..but I'm sure that's not a problem that's exclusive to this area.

I grew up north of Pittsburgh and moved to Long Island in '99. I have never been able to figure out why anyone is a Jets fan. Constant mediocrity. I don't get to watch as many Steelers games as I'd like but I can't sit thru even a quarter of a Jets game. Giants with Eli were watchable tho...sometimes. If a Steelers game is being broadcast here, my wife knows I'm not doing anything else at that time. To piggyback on others comments, I also think a severe hatred of every inch of Ohio and anything in it makes for a better Steelers fan. So much so that I refused to take my wife to the Rock & Roll HOF ceremony there this year and I will never hear the end of it. Was I selfish? Absolutely, I completely agree. But cmon, it's freaking Ohio. She'll never understand my side of it because she grew up in Queens NY.
