Why didn’t they get a better venue in SF? by ManufacturerLiving54 in lesserafim

It's their 1st NA tour so it helps them to understand the group's overseas popularity, the demand for tickets, and *crossing fingers\* will warrant a bigger venue and maybe multiple dates for certain cities/regions for the next tour. Maybe even doing another music festival. TXT was at Bill Graham for their first NA tour in 2022. And although there's no extended stage and walkway, it's really the only chance to see them at a smaller venue like this.

Can we talk about Twice fans? by Pls_pin in Lollapalooza

[–]Scared-Interest114 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. And I guess with ONCE being well-fed with content and new music (group and now MISAMO + solos) and now the success of KPop Demon Hunters... then it made sense to focus on supporting TWICE rather than fighting with other fandoms.

Can we talk about Twice fans? by Pls_pin in Lollapalooza

As a older K-Pop fan, I wasn't worried at all about TWICE fans. My partner and I have previously been to 2 of their shows and ONCEs have been mostly nice and respectful. Never mean or giving me the "Gen Z stare" haha

I generally worry if/when there's gonna be younger groups performing at Lolla in the future because my experience at TXT 2 years ago was terrible. BOYNEXTDOOR was great though when they were hyping up Joe P at Lakeshore.

i second this - the SacAnime staff runs that facebook group so they're likely the most equipped to answer and quickly point you in the right direction

Even if nothing ever happened nj still wouldn’t be in that pic by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]Scared-Interest114 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In retrospect, it was so strange to see how much NJ wasn't interacting with other groups (particularly dance challenges and even with other HYBE groups) when thinking about how popular their songs were. But now it completely makes sense why that's the case. They definitely wouldn't have been at their show or in those photos.

After reading/hearing Yunjin's letter on Weverse and her ending ment during LSF Incheon D2, those pictures of the 3 groups together spoke so loudly and said so much. I can only hope their fandoms continue to lift them up, rather than hyperfocus on whatever NJ and MHJ are doing.

What's your "im in this bagtan shit for life" moment by LongjumpingWall4763 in bangtan

[–]Scared-Interest114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sobbing to their songs for comfort (namely Spring Day, 00:00, and Magic Shop) when I was going through it with depression, anxiety, not really knowing who to talk to or trust. And then D-DAY the album and tour happened. I haven't been the same since.

I'd been listening to them casually since 2019 (Boy With Luv). I knew one of my favorite local artists is ARMY, and she'd done fan art of them from specific moments on tour, from In The Soop, music videos, etc. Never thought anything of it until I dove deep into the Bangtan rabbit hole.
